No, not a thread by Pitt, or Stevie looking for a date.

Military science program OK'd at Robert Smalls, other school board news
Posted by rheaton at 12:28 pm, Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

Seventh- and eighth-graders at Robert Smalls Middle School will be able to participate in a new military science program next year.

The program, which was first presented at the Beaufort County Board of Education's meeting on March 6, was approved at Tuesday's meeting on a unanimous vote. Board member Steven Morello was absent.

We first wrote about the program last week. Denise Smith, the principal at Robert Smalls Middle, said she hopes the program will instill leadership skills in her students and teach them that they are in control of their lives and their decisions. She's also hopeful the program will help ease the transition for students to Battery Creek High School. That school has a large JROTC program — about 240 in 760 students are members.

As usual the DUmmies hate anything good and decent like JROTC, God forbid the kids learn some good stuff.
What baffles me is, Mr Nobel Prize, Barrack Hussein Obama MMMMM MMMMM MMMMM, is president so aren't all our wars now noble?

When 0bama's girls get old enough I am sure you will call for them to sign up, just like you did for the Bush twins.  :whatever:

During the "Dark Ages" military science was neglected.

Conflicts tended to be far bloodier and more protracted than in times prior.

War is inevitable. The suffering does not stop until the good guys win (for socialists and other authoritarian types the killing never stops).

Almost 1/3 (240/760) of the high school is in JROTC...That's great. My sons high school has almost 2,000 students and his JROTC doesn't have 240 members.

Son has his JROTC Military Ball tomorrow night. MOM IS   :panic: :panic: :panic:. I don't what's the big deal, it's his third one.....but mom has to work late, can't get off to get pictures of him and girlfriend before going to the ball....I don't know why I can't take the pictures.....and he's going to have some made by a pro photog at the ball... :panic: :panic:...anyone want an old redneck visitor for a couple of days? :-)

Thanks for the invite but I doubt I'll be going very far north of here anytime soon.

Got a little bragging to do. Son got presented a medal last night for "Most Improved Cadet". The major said he had been reluctant to give my son rank and a command position because he had always been so quiet in class. He had only spoken  when spoken to and answered questioned when asked. Major said that he had been shocked by my son's performance when given some rank and a command position. Major said he had really stepped up and spoken out forcefully when put in charge.

Not likely - I don't think I have read a single thread on DU referring to Obama as a chickenhawk - even though he never served, and has performed all of the same sins that have gotten his predecessor that label.

On the same note, I am pretty sure they have already started to attach that label to Romney, even though he hasn't been elected yet.

When I read the title I thought this was going to be a post about the jr. high teacher who assigned his students to do opposition research on all four GOP candidates, and then send their findings to the Obama campaign. I'm sure the DUers would think that is A-OK.
