Governor Andrew Cuomo has screwed New York

Cuomo has signed a redistricting bill that favors Republicans at election time. A Democrat caving on this kind of crap is unacceptable.

IMO, Cuomo has his eye on the 2016 presidential primaries. Signing this bill will come back to haunt him.

Here's a link to a NY Times editorial on this topic.

1. He is such a huge dissappointment.

If he were to run in a Democratic Primary for President in 2016, he would not get my vote. There has to be a legitimate Democrat out there, who will deserve the parties nomination more. That said if he ends up the Democratic candidate, I will have to vote for him over a total PUKE in the general election but I will have to wear a paper clip over my nose. So I hope he is not the Democratic nominee.

I loved his dad, Mario, in fact he was one of the reasons, I became a Democrat.

What a shame the son is such a RePUKE in disquise.

5. It does not "favor Republicans"...

It "favors incumbents" in both Parties in their respective Chamber of control . Not saying that's an improvement, but let's not suggest partisan preference.

8. Republicans control the state legislature which means the status quo favors them

Why would Cuomo sign a bill that benefits Republicans?

11. Republicans control the Senate

Democrats control the Assembly.

It has been that way for years and years.

In the bignosed primitive's world, any hint of Republicans in control of anything means that they are "in total control."  Meaning that he'd rather that Dems have total control.

Edhopper has it right--and the Republicans' control of the NYS Senate is fairly tenuous.  Matter of fact, it was my parents' State Senator, Roy McDonald, who allowed the gay marriage bill to pass in the NYS Senate.  Yes, he's a Republican--and a pompous ass.

Is Dandy Andy lining up for the 2016 Dem nod?  Of course.  Will he get it?  Maybe.  Slow Joe Biden will run, too.  It all depends on if the Obamessiah wins re-election.  Will Andy's stance on gay marriage fly in the South?  Probably not.

If Cuomo intends to run for President in 2016, he'd better hurry up and marry Sandra Lee.

'Tis true.
