You know, maybe I'll cut up my drivers license, that I have had for about 33 years.

After all I don't fly, I don't buy liquor (wait..WHAT?)

I don't take out a mortgage nor do I buy cigarettes.

So what good is a valid ID for anyway?

I got a state ID when I was 13 so that I could use traveler's checks on a school trip to DC.  My mom took me to the DMV with my birth certificate, filled out the form with my information, paid the fee, and had my picture taken.  The most difficult part was waiting for my number to be called.   

I know that in California, they have a reduced fee program for ID cards if you meet the income requirements, and I believe that other states have programs to provide free ID cards.  I honestly don't see how democrats can even pretend that requiring an ID is disenfranchisement.

You know I thought my guineas were the stupidest things I've ever seen. I mean Jeff and Guinea Pearl can be 5 feet from each other but if their backs are turned that damned hen thinks she's alone and starts screaming "buckwheat, buckwheat, buckwheat" until she accidentally turns around and sees him. But this is even stupider. Seriously! At least they eventually turn around but DUmmies never change. And at least guineas are prolific breeders and tasty.

The cornerstone of the argument is minorities are afraid to get IDs.

Which begs the question, why ? -

The only answers I can come up with would deny voting rights to the person anyway.

a ) Illegal alien
b ) Criminal
c ) American-born criminals that have yet to be caught

since the ID is free to poor folks and are advertised as available - there is no sort of disenfranchisement happening, unless one considers the act 'disenfranchising the lazy and/or stupid'
