Now that the field is set at 4 candidates, the endorsements start coming in for Omaha Steve
Two more are in the pipeline. I already have the endorsement from the Omaha Federation of Labor AFL-CIO

I have been teaching labor studies classes at the University of Nebraska for over 30 years. It was in that capacity that I first met Steve Dawes over a decade ago. Steve is an informed and involved member of the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees local 251. In our conversations, Steve consistently advocates for insuring that the benefits of a well-functioning and growing economy serve the common good by increasing opportunities for upward mobility. He also believes that government at all levels serves two moral purposes: to protect the population and to employ people to become the best they can be.
I believe that the core union values of problem solving; pride in a job well done; looking out for each other; putting the greater good above individual interests; the advancement of human dignity; and equality of treatment are integral to the kind of job that Steve would do as a member of the Bellevue City Council.

Received his Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He worked with organized labor and the University of Nebraska at Omaha to start the Institute for Labor Studies in 1980. Since then, he has taught organizing and negotiating skills to thousands of trade unionists from Nebraska and surrounding states. He is a member of the American Association of University Professors and the United Association for Labor Education.

It's unlikely to be a coincidence that poor, addled grasswipe Judy announced her pie shop almost exactly one year ago.
She had found the old abandoned bodega where she now sleeps.
By now, it's probably stacked to the rafters with junk she's found by the street on trash day and hauled in with her little red wagon.

I'm opening a pie shop.
Just clinched the deal with the property owner today.
It will be structured as a "social enterprise" with all profits donated to music programs in the local schools.
It will not be just a pie shop, but a music venue where local students and local acoustic musicians may play together and play for each other and play for others to hear.
The location is so perfect. It is a very small historic community intersection blocks from where I currently live, and it sits on the old trolley trail that is currently being restored as a hiking/biking trail that connects to other trails that ring the city. At this intersection was the trolley stop and the ticket office throughout the first half of the last century.
Oh god the space is so perfect! It once was an old grocery. The bones are excellent. They even have a very old cooler cabinet with glass doors that will be perfect to display pies. The original plate glass windows are still there, and original corner door. Renovation is already underway.
The business model will allow me to solicit startup funding and corporate sponsorships -- as I am totally on a shoestring.
(I'm writing all this because I know that there are others who would like to start up a business but have no capital. Social entrepreneurship is a global trend. Check it out. It can be a way to start up.)
Many of you know my commitment to pie. I'm doing test kitchen this month on a lot of recipes for the perfect product. King Arthur's lemon meringue was a fail last night. Unfortunately.
Steve Dawes is committed to Socialism.
Poor, addled Judy is committed to pie.

I guess maybe it's a misguided effort to disguise his self-avowed socialism, and prevent it from showing when someone googles his name.
He just put one up about Warren Buffett being invited to the White House by the jug-eared Kenyan.
Steve Dawes will do about anythng to prevent the people of Bellevue, especially those in Ward 1, from learning about his self-avowed lifelong support of socialism.

That's the role of government? They're always injecting the word "moral" here and there. It's a cheap trick. Some DUmmie once declared he had a "moral obligation' to take other people's stuff and money.

After seeing the commercial tonight I'd have to say that little two second endorsement means nothing from a person that only a handfull of people know. Your run for office OmahaSteve will make the Titanic look great in comparison.

If I were Steve Dawes, I'd choose my friends more carefully. The good voters of Bellevue's First Ward would not look with favor on Steve Dawes' Socialist fellow travelers.
