The marking "GNDN" on the pipe at the bottom of the relay panel was a running gag with the set department on Star Trek.  GNDN stood for "Goes Nowhere, Does Nothing".

In the classic movie “Godfather”, an orange is always seen somewhere in the scene before someone is killed.

The real life Charlie Chaplin once tried out for a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest.  He never won as he finished third.

Correct.

The first song played on Armed Forces Radio (AFDN) during Desert Shield was the Clash's "Rock the Casbah."

Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady" was written about Motley Crue's Vince Neil.

Mary Tyler Moore was banned from the Ed Sullivan Show after her first appearance for lip synching.

The Andy Griffith Show was the first television spin-off (The Danny Thomas Show.)

Gilligan had a first name that was only mentioned on the never-aired pilot. (It was Willy.)

The shortest Oscar-nominated performance was Sylvia Miles in Midnight Cowboy.  Her entire role lasted six minutes.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was narrated by John Larroquette.

In every episode of Seinfeld there is a Superman somewhere.

Les Nesman of WKRP always wore a bandaid somewhere.

IIRC, it was AFN Saudi Arabia.  And it was rather appropriate, IMO.
