Jimmy Buffett is one step closer to sharing in the gambling revenue his Parrotheads deliver to his Margaritaville casino in Sin City.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board on Wednesday recommended the singer's holding company be approved for a gambling license, setting up a final hearing later this month.
Board members questioned Buffett for about 15 minutes and asked him about two incidents in which he was accused of having drugs.

We already have a Margaritaville in Las Vegas. It's right next to the Flamingo. It's nothing spectacular.

There's already a restaurant/bar on The Strip. A casino would be the next logical step, only problem is Vegas is still suckin hind tit.

It is. We just got news that O'Sheas is closing down for good on April 30. If I remember correctly, that casino is right next door to Bill's Gambling Hall. It was a smaller casino, but it is on The Strip.

O'Sheas is closing? Holy crap, where's that little guy gonna work NOW?
I mean, yeah--it was kind of a dumpy place more in keeping with Fremont Street than the strip, but if you can't keep a casino open in Vegas...just wow, man.

They are turning that property into a shopping district with an "observation wheel"... they just want to open a huge $500 million dollar area with a Ferris wheel. It's suppose to bring in 1,500 new jobs. The employees at O'Sheas now will be shuffled to other Caesar properties.

Buffett and desert. Just something wrong with that.
