Breaking news from Drudge

Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.â€

Hold your tickets this race is going to a photo finish!!

So, I wonder what's going to happen to Ben Smith's rep after the Hannity program airs tonight. I normally hit the hay before that (I get up at 4:45 AM), but I'll have to stay up for this.
-
Who is Ben Smith?

Oh buddy.
-
The MSM, if they comment on it at all, will chalk it up to "youthful indiscretion" or some other such b.s.

Obama was under the influence of drugs. :-)

MSM has probably known about and seen these tapes for 7/8 years so their spin should be prevected by now. They also probably tried to buy them all up.
-
Hannity is going to have some of the videos on his show tonight.
-
I think I'll wait untill the Breitbart folks start releasing.
I guess I don't have anyting against politico but I just don't know them well enough at all.

In the meantime, I thought it might be interesting to have a few fun facts about the late Professor in advance of the show.
This obituary, written upon his death, had some interesting points to make:
Bell was credited with developing “critical race theory,†which suggested that the U.S. legal system was inherently biased against African Americans and other minorities because it was built on an ingrained white point of view. He argued in his many books and lectures that the life experiences of black people and other minorities should be considered in hiring decisions and in applying the law.
Bell maintained that the standards for promotion and tenure at law schools – and Harvard, in particular – were inherently discriminatory and excluded a broad group of minorities. By hiring only graduates of top-tier law schools who had clerked at the Supreme Court, he argued, academia was populated by a uniform group of standard-issue professors, most of them white men.
And why are we not surprised that he was a Farrakhan supporter?
Some scholars, both black and white, challenged Bell’s ideas, as well as his strong support of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Nonetheless, Bell remained one of the country’s most outspoken public intellectuals until his death.
Author James Traub voiced this opinion in his 1993 piece on the professor:
That’s Derek Bell’s bottom line: if it comforts whites, it’s bad; if it comforts blacks–i.e., Farrakhan–it’s good. Bell, along with Farrakhan and so many others, offers victimization as a consolation.
Yes, I imagine there will be so much more to learn about the good professor.

No Duh. I watched Fox all night, just to see it, and now my dear love is in a crap mood, because he has had Obama up in his face all night. For nothing. Just Damn.

Let's not forget the way Breitbart always worked. Release just a little bit to hook the left before releasing the main item to reel them in.
-
That's why I didn't make it a point to watch yet. The good stuff is coming... :)
-
I was disappointed with the show too :banghead: but like others have said, this is going to come out in drips, although if it's going to be about Obama's radicalism? it won't work with Obama voters, and I think Independents won't care either.

Bally that is exactly right. You follow Lee now, right? His tweets have been classic Breitbart, but somewhat cryptic. They are rolling this out first for a specific reaction. Let the left laugh about the content, then lower the boom in subsequent videos/expose's. Unless there is a huge bombshell, President Algae supporters will not care. Just like Rev. Wright, Acorn, etc. But, if it gives the Breitbart clan a way to honor their fallen leader, I am A-Ok with that.

What is his Twitter name? I might be following him, but I'm not sure anymore. I'd like to follow him.
-
Once again, THANK YOU ANDREW BREITBART !!!
I trust there is more to come, that this so far is but a glimpse. If this is the whole of it the leftist media will spin it into irrelevance with a turnabout that it is a racist attack upon Glorious Comrade Leader and paint him as the victim.
Nothing would be better than that there are more installments, damning dagger vignettes each one of them and they are played out mercilessly with just the right dramatic spacing between them that the spindoctors become buried in the cumulative effect and cannot deflect the full weight of it all, like a string of falling bombs from a B-17.

It was the same exact thing that was posted on their site (including the hug clip).
WGBH is Boston's PBS station. Public funds paid for that documentary and they sat on it refusing to release it, yet this is not shocking to us because we are just so desensitized to it all.
We know Obama liked to hang around with radicals. The only thing this elicits from me is - I want to see his college transcripts.
-
EC, it's @Stranahan, and he just said this:
Lee Stranahan †@Stranahan
The more liberals talk about what a non-story Derrick Bell is, the better. May a thousand yawns echo throughout the liberal blogosphere!
-
That was lame last night. I thought it would be more.
-
Well, we'll have to see. We all knew about the radical associations back in 2008; a lot of people chose to stick their heads in the sand so that they could participate in an "historic" election. Now with the magic having worn thin, I'm hoping more people will question just what kind of man this is.
-
Yeah, he was associated with some radicals. But I seriously don't think it is going to make a difference this election either. The braintrust for the left will ignore it and do anything they can to counteract it. Look for a lot of attacks against Mitt Romney, and his wife, to get people away from obama's past.

If this works out like the Acorn investigation, any white guilt voters from last election will be disabused of that notion this election. I'm guessing it was a significant amount of the voting block. More than enough to either put owebuma over, or hold him back.

With Romney being the front runner, it is going to be close either way. I don't think this new news will have a bearing on it. Then, of course, I could be wrong.

Maybe, after the election, we could talk about it and see how much it was an issue, and if it was an issue, how much it shaped the outcome.

Watch this video of CNN's Soledad O'Brien acting like a condescending ass to Breitbart's Pollack. Pollack tells her he does have more videos (drip drip drip) and that they are going to vet Obama not only on his past but also his presidency. He said that it will also be an indictment on the media.
I highly recommend watching the video from CNN. There are three other people in on the conversation, including Amy Holmes who is with Glenn Beck's new streaming channel.

Did you see how Soledad's definition of CRT was practically a word for word recitation of the number 1 google result for CRT. She couldn't let Pollack's inclusion of white supremacy into the definition stand. When Pollack was pressing her for her own definition since she called his wrong, she stalled until her producer could spoon feed it to her. I have no idea what's still coming, but I think it's going to be good. And I think the MSM knows what's coming, that's why they are frantically trying to convince us that it's such a yawn.

As I said in an earlier post. The MSM has probably known about these tapes for years but kept them from the public. They probably also know all about his birth certificate and his school records but have been complicit in keeping them under wraps also. When all the evidence finally comes out, I think all those that are complicit in this coverup conspiracy should be prosecuted for committing fraud.

Pollak is married to an African American woman and has a child with her. At the 6:30 mark washed up comedian Jay Thomas asks Pollack, “What are you frightened of? Are you frightened that black people are gonna do something to you?â€

The Vetting: Obama's Supreme Court and Critical Race Theory
{snip}
Fortunately, we have another description of Critical Race Theory from an unimpeachable source: Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.
In 1993, Kagan was asked to present a lecture on CRT. Her notes for that class, dated October 25, 1993, became part of the record during her confirmation hearings in 2010--but the Senate failed to press her on her support for a theory that, by her own admission, was race-obsessed and radical.
{snip}
Incidentally, Kagan is not the only one of Obama's Supreme Court appointees who is thought to have more than a passing familiarity with Critical Race Theory.
The issue came up in legal circles during debate over the nomination of Justice Sonya Sotomayor, particularly with regard to her comments that a "wise Latina" might reach a "better conclusion" than a white male, and her ruling (later overruled) against white firefighters alleging discrimination in the Ricci case.

The response she gave was the 1st line from the Wikipedia definition, her producer must have been reading it to her. BTW, the Wiki definition was recently edited to remove the terms white supremacy and racial power.

Wikipedia has proven to be a very left slanted source. I watched a book T.V. episode about a dissenter from global warming. He was a well qualified scientist, and had some well researched facts to challenge the conventional wisdom on global warming. When he checked his wikipedia page, he found it to be TOTALLY fabricated, and untrue. Taking the opportunity that wikipedia affords to edit his own entry in an autobiographical manner, he deleted the whole entry, and rewrote it with his first person account. Less than 24 hours later, everything he had written was replaced with the original drivel. Everyone on the forum probably knows, but take wikipedia with a HUGE grain of salt.
-
I just visited the Wikipedia page for Critical Race Theory and after over thirty edits of the page over two days they reverted back to the version that existed before the Soledad O'Brien interview.

BELL, VIA KAGAN, ON CRITICAL RACE THEORY: THE CONSTITUTION IS THE PROBLEM
by JOEL B. POLLAK
In November 1985, the Harvard Law Review published an article by Derrick Bell that was a "classic" in the development of Critical Race Theory. The article was edited by then-student Elena Kagan, and was cited by Prof. Charles Ogletree in support of her nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court by President Barack Obama in 2010. The article makes clear that Critical Race Theory sees the U.S. Constitution as a form of "original sin"--a view later embraced by Obama as a state legislator, and reflected in his actions and appointments. The following is an excerpt from the non-fiction portion of the article; much of what follows is a fictional story that Bell intended as a parable of racial "fantasy." (99 Harv. L. Rev. 4)

OBAMA: COMMUNIST-RECOGNIZED CONGRESSMAN 'SHARES OUR VALUES'
"He is one on the greatest congressmen in the country,†said President Obama. The reason, Obama told a Teamsters union rally in 2004, “is because he shares our values.â€
At that time—just eight years ago—Congressman Danny Davis was continuing his efforts to help move then-State Senator Obama up the Chicago political food chain. And not that long ago—in fact, just two weeks—that Congressman Davis was honored by People’s World, a news website, at the Communist Party U.S.A.’s headquarters in Chicago for a lifetime of “inspiring leadership.â€
Upon receiving the People’s World “Chris Hani & Rudy Lozano Social Justice Award,†Davis reflected, “Rudy Lozano and I worked closely together to try and build and a relationship between Latino and African-American activists and union types… we called ourselves ‘Progressives.’â€
Congressman Davis, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, was filmed receiving his award and exiting the Communist Party U.S.A. headquarters in Chicago on March 4, 2012. When questioned about his relationship with the Communist Party, Davis abruptly fled the scene, refusing to answer any further questions apart from the following exchange:
Cong. Davis: “I thought you’re just a citizen? Why are you worried about the Communist Party?â€
Citizen Journalist: “I shouldn’t be worried about the Communist Party?â€
Cong. Davis: “No.â€

SLUT-GATE HYPOCRISY: EXPLOSIVE AUDIO OF NBC'S AL SHARPTON TRASHING 'HOMOS,' 'CHINAMEN,' AND 'CRACKERS'
by JOHN NOLTE
If offensive slurs are a problem for the left, why does Al Sharpton have a primetime slot on MSNBC?
The left has started a war against Rush Limbaugh -- a war it cannot win. Limbaugh said something for which he later apologized, and rather than accept that apology, the left and its media allies decided to exploit the situation, turning it into a crusade to take an opposing voice off the air.
Even the White House has jumped on this neo-fascist bandwagon. Not the Obama campaign. The White House. The People's House.
This is, pure and simple, a crusade to censor political speech disguising itself as something else, and it's a crusade led by Media Matters for America, the Obama political machine, and the mainstream media.
And as a result….
Today, Obama sits at 41% in opinion polls -- his lowest approval rating ever. Part of this poll collapse most certainly has to do with a stagnant economy and gas prices, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that Obama has started a stupid war against a nonexistent war on women (which is really Obama's war against the Catholic Church and religious liberty), and the fact that he has once again been found hanging out with another divisive, radical racialist.
***snip***
Using MSNBC's own standards, should the man who once said the following be allowed to hold a primetime MSNBC slot?
David Dinkins, you wanna be the only ****** on television, only ****** in the newspaper, only ****** that can talk. Don't cover them, don't talk to them, 'cause you got the only ****** problem. 'Cause you know if a black man stood up next to you, they would see you for the whore that you really are.
That's MSNBC's Al Sharpton--many years ago, but just as shocking today. I can already hear the excuse -- that it's okay for him to use the N-word because he's black. But I wonder what CNN's Roland Martin will think of this:
White folks was in the cave when we were building empires. We learned to admire them, but they knew to admire us. We built pyramids without a ____, ____ new architecture ____. We talked philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.
"Greek homos."
Just a few weeks ago, Roland Martin was suspended from CNN after GLAAD took offense to a few Super Bowl tweets few but GLAAD could ever find offensive -- tweets that never even broached the subject of homosexuality.
"Homo," of course is an anti-gay slur, especially within the context you hear in Sharpton's words.
But that's not all! How about a side order of "Chinaman" to go with that "homo":
You the best chicken ____ in the universe. Gonna buy some Colonel Sanders chicken. Then the Chinaman come in and throw some hot ___ [cough] ___. Then the Korean sells us watermelon. ___ watermelon all my life. They're gonna cut it up and put it in a bucket with a rubber band around it, and then we're gonna buy it like it's somethin we didn't know what it was.
And finally we have this:
"___ uh, white interloper I said I was wrong. uh, uh, cracker, though I think cracker is a certain personification of a certain type of person down south, just like redneck. I mean, you know some people misinterpret cracker meaning all whites, it's not true. But the confusion means you shouldn't use it. I mean, sometimes being flippant you say things you shouldn't say, cause it gets in the way of your message and people don't really understand what you're saying."
"White interloper." I don’t even know what that means, but "cracker" is a slur against white Southerners -- end of story.
