Today is my middle child's 13th birthday. We didn't plan to do anything tonight because he is supposed to have a baseball game. I was going to make cupcakes to take to his game to share with the team afterwards.
It rained all night and all morning. I figure game will be cancelled, because the fields are really not that great and don't drain worth a darn. So I didn't make cupcakes. But I did go get him a cake, and Mr Flame and I had decided we would take him out for dinner at least tonight and do cake and presents.
Well, its not raining anymore....and I haven't gotten a call cancelling the game....and I leave in 45 minutes to start the pick up routine, and won't get home till almost 4.
I hate not knowing what will be happening this evening!!!
:banghead:

If your VRWC dues were paid up, we could "fix" the weather for you with the new satellite. :uhsure:

He's thirteen. He'll understand the "up-in-the-air" situation. If you want cupcakes, go by Wal-Mart or somewhere. Save the cake for the family later.
Remember, today he is a man.

Although the teenage behavior is has started creeping in the past month or so....I'm ready to knock his block off if he doesn't pull his head out his rear.

Just to update...the game was on....they lost spectacularly. Sent Mr Flame to get some cupcakes for the team, and we still have a cake here at home, too.
Now I'm waiting patiently to find out about today's games, since it rained again all last night!
And Lug, I think he'll be a pretty good driver....can't be any worse than teaching his sister (which I'm doing now )!

I have told my kids that I am not paying anything car related for them. They want a car, they pay the whole thing themselves. They take on the responsibility.
I see no point in giving anyone hormonally stupid two tons of fast moving metal for them to fail to control.
I bet everyone loved the cupcakes. And playing in mud is just a guy thing anyway.
