Omaha Steve's first campaign article will run Wednesday, first endorsment too!

The Bellevue Leader is running the first article on the May primary election Wednesday. I will officially pick up my first endorsement that night. March 1 is the filing deadline.

As soon as I get home that night I'll post the article and endorsment info.

So getting an endorsement from drunk at the bar he hangs out at is going to launch him right into office?

Perhaps some of the weepers posts should right along side the article. :-)

It hasn't come out yet.  You haven't missed anything.

And then and again, you haven't seen anything yet, if you know what I mean.

My guess it's an endorsement by the second vice-president of the local plumbers' union, such as the union is in Bellevue.

That's part of why I find big Steve so entertaining; he sees himself as a prominent, influential DUmpmonkey, but most of the threads he starts sink like a stone with no or very few replies.

That's what I noticed when I looked up his posting history.  A large number of his threads are copy-and-paste jobs from socialist/labor rags with little or no comments.

That's what got me when reading my fellow Nebraskan.

Nearly all of his campfires seem to generate 3-4-5 responses, and no more than that.

I hadn't paid attention to this before, and to be honest, I'm sort of saddened, that the big guy's not as popular among the primitives as I had thought he is.

Well, that was mighty nice of the big guy to give us a photograph.

We have n-o-o-o-o-o intention of putting it to malicious purposes, much less as a dart-board.

I could always put it in the bottom of the urinal, but then I'd have to take obama's pic out.

I think I'll leave obama where he's at.

I have a framed autographed photograph of Bela Pelosi hanging above the tank of the commode in the bathroom here.  As I got nothing against the big guy, I think I'll leave Bela up there.

The jackass knows he can't use a picture with an advertisement on it right?  He also can't allow a photographer to comp a picture - full price must be charged.

I am sure he knows that.    :-)

I agree.  The red shirt and black tie is not very poltically savvy either.

I'm sure somewhere along the line the big guy's going to play the "Native American" act, to garner some sympathy votes, for being part of an oppressed minority.

Even though he's only 1/64 Native American, he's played that line before, for the primitives.

Never talking about the other 63/64ths of him.

Well, that photograph makes him look like he really is, Polish or Irish, take your pick.

I suspect about the only prejudice he's ever encountered in his life has been having to endure "dumb Polack" or "crooked Mick" jokes.

So.....the neighbor was over about 7:30 this morning, and I mentioned that the big guy had posted his picture.  The neighbor doesn't do much with the internet (despite his M.S. in mathematics), but he knows all about my pal Omaha Steve.

He asked to see it, and I showed him.  The following ensued:

neighbor: But he doesn't look Indian.
franksolich: No, I never said he looked Native American; I said he's got a few drops of it in his blood, and because he's alleged himself to be an oppressed minority before, I'm sure he's going to bring up those long-ago distant Native American roots during his campaign, so as to get some sympathy votes for being an oppressed minority.
neighbor: Well, that's fudged up then; he should've had a different picture taken.
franksolich: Different in what way?
neighbor:Well, a feather headress and some buckskin on him would help--otherwise he looks just like any old Paddy O'Brien or Stan Lewandowski.

I told everybody so.

The black suit with a red shirt and black tie is NOT Irish, or is not Boston Irish.   It's red, white and blue here baby (white shirt, red tie  - in some variation, is a power suit) - and I don't know a politician worth his/her salt that doesn't wear a flag pin somewhere on their suit.

This guy is a putz, and looks like a putz.   No nationality affiliation necessary.... anecdotally speaking of course..... :-)

I got no problems with the black and red--in fact, it looks rather spiffy to me, that combination of colors on the big guy.

I do however have a problem with that his neck overlaps his collar, and his chin melts into his neck, which is not healthy fat.  He needs to use his taxpayer-paid medical insurance to see a cardiologist to learn what that means, and then drop some poundage.  Flaccid fat is not good.  Fat is not good, period, but flaccid fat is more perilous than just plain fat.

As frank can attest, I'm wondering if the color choice isn't some kind of way of showing the voters he's a Husker fan. Normally you wear red and white for that or all red. A few however do wear black and red for the Blackshirt defense side of the team.. Then again OmahaSteve probably has the fashion sense of a Ringling Brothers circus clown.

But I do think my fellow Nebraskan looks rather good in black and dark red.

It does however certainly diminish his Native American-ness.

Statistically, morbid obesity has a good chance of killing the avowed socialist Steve Dawes fairly soon.

His massive fat, aggravated by the indolence that results from his seat on the disability gravy train, puts him at the head of the line for sudden cardiac arrest, stroke, and a host of other grim events.

He's gained an enormous amount of weight since his photo with the ditch witch, due to a combination of the Great Bush Prosperity, and his life of leisure on the taxpayers' tab.

Of course, we wish no ill fortune on the Weeper.

But you gotta admit, it'd be interesting to read the DUmp reaction.

Another DUmpmonkey sent to his just reward by coach.

Poor, addled grasswire Judy would flip out like an elderly, confused ninja.

Was that Mother Sheehan ? How is her IRS investigation coming along ? While working Americans put their time in on the job old Cindy was lounging about outside of the Crawford ranch, with no visible means of support. I guess she was fully funded by the lib/dems while doing nothing productive. It must have been a lot of money Cindy took, because the IRS makes the (alleged) big money cheats the highest priority.

I know our good friend Allo was making a joke, but perhaps the primitives won't see it that way, given their heightened paranoia about things, and so one should be careful.

Best to play on the paranoia of the primitives as if playing a harp, not a jack-hammer.

This side plays by the rules, observes boundaries.

It's the other side who doesn't, because of the old Democrat attitude, "one has to cheat to win."

To be fair to the big guy--and one hopes the fecund grasswire primitive takes note, how fair franksolich always is, to her hero--that story might have been pre-empted by a bigger story today, that former Senator Bob Kerrey changed his mind.....yet again.  It's front-page news, and so maybe the big guy got bumped for another day.

I dunno, but no primitive can accuse franksolich of not being fair to his fellow Nebraskan.

And it's splitting apart the Nebraska Democrats.

Sorry Coach, I was just tryin' to get a rise outa the Peeping Toms with the hope one of them would cross the cattle guard and actually talk to one of us!

No, and it'll never work.  The primitives have always been too scared to come over here.

The deal is, the fecund grasswire primitive is watching us like a hawk, and as she's already mixed up in the mind, she's likely to misinterpret a joke as something not a joke.

The big guy probably "released" his comments last week or something, and was told they'd be in the newspaper today.

Apparently he got pre-empted by a German shepherd.

We're talking more of a "human interest story" here, than a news story, about the big guy.

It's easy to run those any time when news is slow.

But apparently news was fast today.

The big guy shouldn't have counted on it.

For  the benefit of voters who may nadin his name we need to mention as often as possible, especially in thread titles, the full name of Steve Dawes, the self-avowed socialist and candidate for city council Ward 1, in Bellevue, Nebraska.

I have confidence the people of Ward 1 in Bellevue, Nebraska will do the right thing if they're made aware Steve Dawes has declared his lifelong support of socialism in writing to a radical leftist publication.

Of course, Steve Dawes never expected his support for socialism to be an issue in a political campaign for Bellevue, Nebraska city council. As a lifelong loser, as well as a socialist, he likely never anticipated a political contest.

You have to admit, as a socialist in Bellevue, Nebraska, Steve Dawes had no reason to expect being involved in Bellevue politics, where socialists are as rare as heterosexual democrat men.

His only vocal supporter so far is poor, addled Judy grasswire Smith up there in Oak Grove, Oregon, who tries to deny being addled by looking up big words in a thesaurus.

Of course, there are loads of DUmpmonkey checks in the mail, which is where DUmpmonkey checks are forever located.

Okay, so I checked out the new-and-improved site the big guy has.

So far, sort of so good.

He needs to remove that hyphen on "good-local."

One wonders why Charlene, the designer, removed her last name at the bottom right-hand corner of the site; no one is interested in Charlene--she's not running for the Bellevue City Council--and she might lose some publicity for her web-design work, doing that.

The big guy seems to have no affiliation with either high school in Bellevue, and so I'd suggest he remove that school mascot on the upper right-hand side, so there isn't any trouble.  I'm sure if he wants to emphasize his 1/64th Native American-ness, that there's plenty of other images freely available for his use.

There's a little bit too much "I" in the biography, but perhaps that's a matter of taste.  If it were franksolich, I'd use fewer "I"s, and also say some nice words about others who helped me along in life.  But as I said, that's a matter of style.  Or of ego.

I looked at the Bellevue Leader (http://www.omaha.com/section/news2001) this morning, still nothing about Chief Crying Charolais. It looks like Steve Dawes, devoted Socialist, broke a promise to the people.

Interestingly, the paper did contain this article (http://www.omaha.com/article/20120301/NEWS97/703019914#3-000-sexts-in-1-month-led-to-charges), which appeared to be about Wee Willy Pitt, at least to my coffee-starved eyes. So I asked myself, "Why would William Rivers Pitt be in  Bellevue, Nebraska?" Just before the caffeine cleared the morning fog from my brain, I thought "to be Omaha Steve's new campaign manager, of course!" Then I realized the article was about William Pitt's doppelganger, and not about him at all.

I am glad William Rivers Pitt, former girls-school teacher (who left the school suddenly under mysterious circumstances) and close personal friend of convicted pedophile Scott Ritter, has not been charged in Sarpy County, Nebraska with enticing underaged girls by the use of an electronic device. Without the distraction of criminal charges, he would be free to manage the Steve Dawes campaign for Bellevue City Council.

That's an awful lot of talk about food and eating, what with the good-local food and the farmers market.  It's enough to stop a heart   beat.  Nobody cares about any of that.  What the people want to know is this business with the Socialism.  I understand that Steve Dawes wrote a letter to the editor to a Communist online paper, declaring his lifelong devotion to Socialism.
