FBI probes deadly shooting involving ICE agents in Long Beach

"At this time we believe this was an isolated incident and that the shooter acted alone," Steven Martinez, assistant director in charge of the Los Angeles FBI office, told reporters at the scene."...
"With the supervisor wounded, a third agent intervened and opened fire on the gunman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to law enforcement authorities. The male agent who killed the gunman was uninjured."
No comments are necessary at this point because there are so few details yet present.
God bless the lost and all those affected by this tragedy.

Not what I expected, but it was an ICE supervisor who went postal, according to a blogger I know that works in the building. DU probably has pegged the shooter as a Tea Partier, of course.

"The agent opened fire on the male supervisor repeatedly shortly before 6 p.m. in the building, according to the sources, who asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak on the matter."
Oh what tangled webs we see whence we wait for what truth perceives.
Another shady government caper in the offing? Too soon to tell.
In any event someone has lost their daddy, husband, uncle grandfather, brother... God speed.

From the reports that I have heard on LA radio, it sounds like this started as a standard performance review and things got a little heated.
