A question for DUers from a former DUer (have at it)
From a former DUer......
Gas is over $3 and in some places near $4. Food inflation is so high that you guys have threads devoted to bargain-shopping. Obama approves of drones filling the AMERICAN skies. Guantanamo is STILL open and will be for the foreseeable future. Obama and his attack dog, Cankles Clinton, have aircraft carriers circling Iran. The feds bust medical marijuana clinics whenever their stash runs low. Your Occupy Wall Street movement has become exactly that: a movement, only of the bowel variety. All that, plus more and more of the jobs that your unions have bargained for you the right to show up at drunk and high are going overseas.
Gotta ask - WHAT exactly do you see in your Dear Leader?
Gas was $1.80 when Obama took office. Not the day of the election, mind you: the DAY HE TOOK OFFICE.

That since the oil industry is capitalist, and not socialized, there isn't damn much any president can do for prices. Except make the world more secure and less volatile. I really, really, REALLY ****ING DOUBT that a rethug president is going to back off Iran and make the market less volatile. Or close gitmo, or end the NDAA. They will strengthen that shit with glee. So go ahead, support Rmoney, or sanitarium, or the grinch. Your just being willfully ignorant. And maybe you do deserve one of those fools as president.

The President can't do anything about gas prices? then why did Bush get blamed but Obama doesn't?

more affordable health care
contraception availability
a safety net
Social Security
lower unemployment
an improving economy
more troops out of the Middle East and home where they belong
None of which we would have if our "Dear Leader" had not been elected.

Maybe if this country is headed back to war and this time make it mandatory then you just might see a change and get these people off their asses. Right now they are content with letting others do their fight while they are back home riding their pickups.
Why should I be concerned about the future? The future is not set and anyway, it will take care of itself.

It's definitely interesting to watch the gyrations they are willing to go through to defend O'bama.

What the hell is it with these people with bold faced lies? Fine, that isn't completely true there was a brief period in 08 where it got that low, but that's because the economy was in ruins. Their argument is still dishonest.
Gas was $1.87 starting in late fall of 2008, then it stayed around $1.87 for several months.
You even admit in your post that it was that low for a brief period, which means that you contradicted your original statement that gas hasn't been that low since the 90's. You goons screamed and threw fits over gas prices when Bush was in office, and hardly a damn peep the past 2 years as prices have creeped upwards, because your guy won the white house.

Gasoline prices are a mixed bag this week, though there are signs that the bottom has been reached. On the other hand, diesel prices have decreased compared against the week before. On average, gasoline prices are down a penny. The national gasoline average is now about a $1.14 below the price this time last year. Diesel fuel is now $.99 below this time last year.

Gasoline prices are on the rise this week, with increases shown in every region. On the other hand, diesel prices continue to decline compared against the week before. On average, gasoline prices are up 3.8 cents. The national gasoline average is now about a $1.03 below the price this time last year. Diesel fuel is now $1.21 below this time last year.

In August 2001, before 9-11, a gallon of gasoline in the Sandhills dipped below $1, to 98 cents or something, for the first time since Reagan had been president.
That was under the watch of George Bush.
But of course 9-11 changed everything.
