A teenager armed with a gun he never should have had opened fire in a crowded Salt Lake City shopping mall. He shot me and killed five people, including my beautiful 15-year-old daughter, Kirsten.

After the shooting, I found out that the shooter was too young to legally buy his gun, but a pawn shop sold it to him anyway. The shop is still in business — and even kept the profit it made off this gun sale.

But with the help of the Brady Center's Legal Action Project, we are holding that pawn shop accountable in court. The shop fought us all the way to the Utah Supreme Court, but the Brady Center's attorneys helped me get my day in court, and we're set for trial this year.

Please help the Brady Center fight corrupt gun manufacturers and dealers.

have to put signs out that say no guns allowed... However, on our state floor a Republican Lawmaker is locked and loaded with a semi-automatic... However no cameras are allowed... This issues has many emotional triggers, but non like the story of losing a family member to a random shooting.

New campfire. This will show the democrats really are a gun grabbing group. You can't change your stripes.

Don't know about Nebraska, but in most of the US, being a gun grabber is a sure ticket to a losing election

He does that a lot.  I glanced at some of his older posts in the Union Goon forum and they're mostly copy-and-paste jobs from Solidarity! and other rags.

I'd hazard a guess and say that his stance is likely to cost him his election in Nebraska.

If the facts are indeed what are in the press release (doubtful, since it's the Brady Bunch), then ATF is going to come down hard on that pawn shop owner.

The people in Bellevue Ward One won't vote for Steve Dawes, a self-avowed socialist who supports more gun control laws and the Brady nuts?

The hometown of Offutt Air Force Base would reject socialist Steve Dawes? I thought those military types were hardcore liberals.

An extreme leftist who has always supported socialism has probably never run in Bellevue before, so maybe there's pent-up demand for communism.

And you still have a state legislature?!  This Republican Lawmaker hasn't killed them all?!  How is that possible??  Perfect opportunity, gun allowed with no cameras around to stop it.

What an idiot.

Hey Steve. I know you're reading this. Al Gore lost his home state because of gun control (had he won his state he would have been president).

You can bet this little gem finds it way to your local papers. How many votes do ya think you will lose with this stance?

Now you know that Steve doesn't take kindly to threats.

Remember that he has some hidden, super-duper surprise in store for his enemies.

I think you mean "supper-dupper".

Maybe the surprise will be a pledge to outlaw handguns in Bellevue.

Well, if this is any clue, franksolich is the only able-bodied adult male in the county who doesn't own a firearm.

I think that should answer your doubts.

I will send you one of mine, Frank.

I don't need it.  And besides, I'd be a lousy gunman anyway.

I don't need it for two reasons.

Number one, everybody around me is armed, so why should I worry?

Number two, I have the handy-dandy 1-3/8" S/K adjustable wrench, which can be deadly if I want it to be.

It always cracks me up that when I summon someone here in the middle of the night, they get out of their truck packing heat.

Uh huh.

I was hoping you'd see this.

How well do you suppose "gun control" would go over as a campaign issue in Bellevue?

The big guy's shooting himself in his foot.

Your feelings on the subject are well known. Your decision to not own a firearm is a personal decision and not because of a hatred of private ownership of guns.

Oh, absolutely.

A friend in the big city--a crippled guy who refuses to board the social security disability gravy-train and who instead owns a gun-shop to make a living (and he makes a good living, too)--tried for like three months, twice a week, to teach me to use a gun.

It's just not my thing; I don't have the patience to slowly take aim and fire.  If I had my way, I'd just as soon grab the barrel of a gun and club the malicious being into unconsciousness.

As I said, a 1-3/8" S/K adjustable wrench in these hands can be a deadly weapon, either as a club or as a flying object.

Best for one to use a tool that matches one's skill.

Frank you serve as an excellent picture of the difference between conservatives and liberals.

If a conservative prefers not to own a gun, he just doesn't buy one.
If a liberal prefers not to own a gun, he outlaws guns for everybody.

That's it.

Just because I find a gun all but useless for me to use, doesn't mean other people find it useless for them.

There ain't no way in Hell I'd outlaw guns owned by anybody I know.

This is why I had been hoping the anti-gun nut the iverglas primitive, had been a top primitive for 2011, as I had half-written an awesome award for her, about the real reason she's against self-defense.

But that'll have to wait until she gets elected as a top primitive, which I hope to God is this year.

I've been watching her. She's keeping a low profile.

BTW. I've went back and forth with her for years.

By the way, I really doubt that it's needed by the Sarpy County (Nebraska) Republican Party, but I did it anyway, made a screen-capture of the big guy's post, so as to ensure that he doesn't lie during the campaign and say he's for the Second Amendment.

Remember, Chief Bawling Bison was the one who took off all those bumper-stickers advertising his true political sentiments.  So I wouldn't put it beneath him, to say one thing on Skins's island, and to say the completely opposite thing during a campaign.

I'd bet we have several, but it's always safe to do it as opposed to assuming that someone else has done it.

Yeah, you know where I stash them, for consultation every time the big guy utters something for public (as opposed to primitival) consumption during his campaign.

Coach, I've got mixed feelings on this one.  While I also think that one needs to stay within their abilities on these things, there's a saying about bringing a knife to a gunfight.  I'd submit that one could substitute the word (and object) wrench for knife, and it would mean the same.

Dutch is right.

Perfer the 3" shells...had a single action 45 cal back in the 60's that would shoot the 2 1/2" shells...can't remember who made it....had to change cylinders to shoot the .410 shells.

I've looked at a few the .410 pistols and so far I haven't seen one that suited me.

Would like a slightly longer barrel and longer grip for my big hands.

Be honest coach, you never expect having to use the wrench because that pride of cats you have will take anyone down first.
