Teen describes killing as ‘pretty enjoyable’ experience
JEFFERSON CITY -- A Missouri teenager who admitted stabbing, strangling and slitting the throat of a young neighbor girl wrote in her journal on the night of the killing that it was an “ahmazing†and “pretty enjoyable†experience — then headed off to church with a laugh.
The words written by Alyssa Bustamante were read aloud in court Monday as part of a sentencing hearing to determine whether she should get life in prison or something less for the October 2009 murder of her neighbor, 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten, in a small town west of Jefferson City.

The most poignant part of Monday’s testimony came when a handwriting expert described how he was able to see through the blue ink that Bustamante had used in an attempt to cover up her original journal entry on the night of Elizabeth’s murder. He then read the entry aloud in court:
“I just (expletive) killed someone. I strangled them and slit their throat and stabbed them now they’re dead. I don’t know how to feel atm. It was ahmazing. As soon as you get over the ‘ohmygawd I can’t do this’ feeling, it’s pretty enjoyable. I’m kinda nervous and shaky though right now. Kay, I gotta go to church now...lol.â€

This murder made me ill the day I heard of it and it still does. I wish the judge would have just let her be hung in front of the courthouse.

Have to agree here, This is an age old problem.
To do horrid things people have to dehumanise others. No problem torturing small animals they are not human.
Working ones way up the ladder one has to dehumanize all others and living humans or the about to be born humans.
Nothing shocking here, we have one young girl that exhibits trites from the past to today. Last count there were over 50 serial killers in each of our 50 states, wandering about freely. Uncaught, unknown.
I left out the amazing number of parents that off their inhuman kids each month, not by abortion but by waiting for a few years to off the growing child post abortion. If a woman can kill a growing child before their birth, why not at 6 months after birth when they annoy you or begin to cost money. Mothers Choice, to kill and when to kill.
We catch a baby killer before they go big time and every one is stunned without thinking about how all the kids that grew up this way became the monsters they became.
Abortion not only devalues human life but Denys human life to others. One can now put a sub human label on the living when they wish.
This Child was not doing anymore then barbarians did, how do suppose the barbarians got that way in the first place.?
The young lady is a Corvair, she is unsafe at any speed or age. I care not about her baggage, this one has to be
prevented from being in the public for life. No amount of Doctors messing about in her mind to find out Why she did this, sorry who cares, the deed is done not the victims fault. Her reasons for the act are hers and hers alone, the victim has no part in that.
When a child is murdered or killed in a family be it abortion or after birth, the family members, even if just one will wonder what if the child had been able to grow up. Life long loss to the family and perhaps thousands of others.
Not to mention the family only raised her but their family's Aunts, Uncles, grandparents and cousins that now bow their head in shame for their own reasons.
Nuts, lets all pray that this never happens to us, where a family member goes off the rails and causes grief to others.

I think some just have pure evil in them. I wouldn't ever blame a parent for a child like this unless they took part in it. Imagine the guilt and shame the parent of such a child must face every waking moment wondering where they did go wrong. Their own prison sentence, imo.

If that was my child that was brutally murdered. I would keep myself healthy and fit so that I could live to be 100 or more. I would wait for that piece of shit to get paroled and then put a bullet right between the eyes. She is not worth anything.

The LAPD compiled did a study years ago and found out that while "success" could not be guaranteed "failure" could almost be guaranteed when it came to raising a child.
I don't necessarily know what turns people like this young woman into monsters, but I think Heinlein had it right in Starship Troopers. There are only three possibilities about her. She is a sociopath and can not be healed, in which case death is a mercy to her and protection to everyone else. She is mentally-ill and could be cured, and then have to live with having done what no decent person could have done, in which case death is still a mercy. Lastly, she is of sound mind and meant to do what she did, in which case death is justice and protects everyone else.

yeh, like in the case of Andrea Yates...........they say she was mentally ill and didn't know what she was doing killing her 5 kids. I say she deserves the death penalty out of mercy. I would hate to be "fixed" by medicine and then realize what I truly did. How inhumane is that? That is cruel and unusual punishment if there ever was any.

What is worse in the world then to be totally delusional and do horrid things and then be brought back to reality and be told what you did?? Like waking up from a drunk black out to find you have no memory of the past night. Blood on your hands and no idea how it got there.
The very idea that a normal person under extreme stress goes to bed one night and awakes days later in jail and told they offed their family, and they have no memory of it. How can anyone survive this, they want to see their kids but are shown pictures of them dead at what they say are your hands.
Gina there are worse things then death by far and you hit the nail on the head here. How to stay sane when one realises what they have done is a mystery to me. Mercy for them comes in many ways.
