Got news for any DU lurkers.  There is a grand total of one number that will determine whether or not the Obamessiah is reelected.

That number is 5.00.  As in, "$5.00/gal gasoline."

If we get to that number, Obama will be buried in his reelection effort, with disastrous consequences to Democrats down the ticket.  Hell, if we get to $4.25/gallon by Election Day (average), he's in serious trouble.

You also have to do the state-by-state math.  BSS makes a good point.  At a certain point, the gas price starts to effect the dinner table in a very real way.  People get good and furious.

And if you haven't noticed the price of groceries skyrocketing, especially of late, you either are so rich you don't care, or you're on food stamps and don't care because someone else is paying for it.

Oh goody! higher unemployment, even more Americans on food stamps, and more kids in the black community going on rampages in groups at Walgreens.

There is a kind of tell in the GOP voter turnout numbers from FL and NV.  Conservative voters are staying home in droves, my own sense is that they have switched off since they see themselves getting stuck with Mitt in the end and are not happy about it.  If they were pleased, they'd turn out in force to give him big numbers, but that isn't what's happening.  Not a good sign for November, I have to say.

Yeah that worries me. I still think that even a Massachusetts liberal is preferable to 0bama though.

I'm on the fence about that, but tend to agree.  We have got to keep the House and get the Senate, though, that is one thing on which I have no reservations.

Voter enthusiasm is way down because of the choices we have been given.  However, I am hoping the "Anyone But Obama" idea will draw out conservatives for the general election.

Hi5. well said.
I remember the Bush gas crisis, and all candidate obama could say was, "make sure your air pressure is correct in your tires." What a idiot. Yeah, just can't wait to see him handle a crisis like this, ESPECIALLY after he ixnayed the oil pipeline...

I'm pretty sure that's how its going to go.

There is an old Cliché about voters.. 'Conservatives fall in line, Liberals fall in love' - once the nominee is determined, conservatives will more than likely vote for him, especially considering how much more valuable the downticket races are. A Moderate Romney can be pushed by a conservative house and senate, whereas a lame duck Obama will stifle everything at every opportunity.

I'd be really surprised if anyone posts that and have been monitoring to see if it happens.  I hope they do because the fallout between DUmmies who claim to be black and DUmmies who claim to be gay would be immeasurable.  It would eclipse the Prop 8 kerfuffle by far.

There's that liberal poker game again.  Who trumps who?  This is what happens when you have protected classes.  When they clash, the lefties don't know what to do.

There's always hand-wringing, they do that well.  Usually followed by wanting to ban guns and end the 'Culture of violence,' whether any guns were involved or not, and then the final stage of spending more tax money on both protected groups so they won't forget to vote Democrat.

I'm worried about this election. The left tried "Anyone but Bush" with Kerry in 2004, and Kerry got beat. It's really hard to oust an incumbent. It took a Reagan to get Carter out. And we don't have a Reagan. Obama is more "likeable" than Carter on a personal level, at least to those not paying attention.

The MSM is keeping its powder dry with Romney. How many "crazy Mormon" stories, for example, are we going to be innundated with this summer? How many "out-of-touch wealthy guy" stories? And how many "the economy is definitely improving" stories?

I'd rather have a winning strategy than have to hope that the other side implodes. I'm going to vote for the R, but I probably won't be happy about it. I'm getting tired of settling.

I didn't spend much time but could not find the internals of the poll. I do know that WAPO/ABC will no longer be stating their demographics. They used to report that and always oversampled donks by 8-10 points. I suspect that with democrat party affiliation down below that of republican the CNN poll over samples donks by double digits.

Polls by the leftist media are designed to shape public opinion not report on it.

Let's be honest here for the left about the upcoming election.

Contrary to what the left thinks, we didn't vote for Obama in 08 and it wasn't because he's black, it was his associations with Ayers, Wright, and so on, it was his wife saying "for the 1st time she's proud of her Country" BUT there were plenty of people who voted for Obama because he's black, and yes, I heard them say it themselves, they'd say it was time for a black President, and some, even though they wouldn't admit it, they voted for him because they wanted to say "look at me look at me, I voted for a black man, I can't be racist", then you had people like Gene Simmons who voted for Obama and admitted he voted for him because it was historic.

Fast Forward to today, unemployment actually over 10% no matter how much they sugar coat it, underemployment over 16%, record unemployment in the black and hispanic community, gas prices projected to be over $5 a gallon by summer, record spending, record number of Americans on food stamps. We still say we won't vote for him, but those Independents? the ones who voted for him in 08? they're terrified to be honest, they won't vote for him but they'll either say they will or they'll say they're undecided, but when they get in the voting booth? who do you think they're going to vote for?

All Republicans have to do is run 1 Ad, and ask, are you better off today than you were 4 years ago? and if the left is honest with themselves? they'd say no too.

No two ways about it. We need the Senate. We have to be able to block any Supreme Count nominee.

obama gave us a welfare queen that had her housing, food and education paid for by someone else and then he gave us a dyke.

Obama has proven that he doesn't need the senate nor the HOR to make appointments.  He recently made "recess appointments" without both houses of congress being in recess.

The GOP didn't have the balls to do anything, so it's likely Obama will feel emboldened to do it again.

He can't make a Supreme Court appointment.
If he is reelected, he will make a minimum of two Supreme Court appointments, and they will be confirmed.

You're kidding yourself if you think the GOP can withstand the pressure.

The commies couldn't prevent W from putting Alito and Roberts on the court, and if the jug-eared muslim is reelected, he'll make appointments that will shift the court into an extreme leftist position.

It's by far the most important reason to vote for any Republican this fall to stop the Kenyan.

If he's reelected, you can kiss concealed carry, charter schools, defense of marriage, and right-to-work goodbye.

That's what's at stake.

As much as I dislike any candidate running on the Republican ticket, I will vote for whomever the nominee is.

In addition to the things you listed, Cap N Trade will be back in the forefront. That's a killer for this country.

Illegals will be given all voting rights. There will never be another Republican elected to national office with an additional 20 million illegals with their hands out getting obama money to vote for the democrat party.

Taxes will be raised. The rich will desert this country, taking their money with them.
