Police: Man says he stole to feed family
A 23-year-old Bryan man tried to steal food from a grocery store to feed his family, authorities said.
He was charged with theft of property worth more than $50 and less than $500, a Class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000 and 180 days behind bars.
Bryan police said around 8 p.m. Friday, employees of the H-E-B Grocery Store off Villa Maria saw the man walking past the checkout with a basket full of food.
The man had placed some of the food items into plastic bags he had brought inside, and when employees asked he could not tell which register he used for checkout, according to police reports

What is a crunchy story?
Speaking of HEB, which I normally don't like (although I do like HEB Plus), we went there this weekend. They had bags of food for the homeless/hungry. Each bag cost $5 and you buy it to donate. We bought 8 bags. Everyone who were shopping when we were there were buying bags to donate it seemed, it made me like HEB a little more.

Bowing to popular demand from a series of Skimmer sockpuppets, he reluctantly agreed to sell $5 hearts, and to then give the money to an abortion mill.
DUmmies loved this idea, even though Skimmer made clear that unlike at the old DUmp, the money spent on hearts will not buy a star.
The DUmpmonkeys actually believe Skimmer will give all this money to an abortion mill, just as they believe every ludicrous bouncy tale.

Traves, do you like HEB?
I like the HEB Plus but the best one is Central Market in downtown Austin. It's more along the lines of Whole Foods but they have some really yummy stuff and it's owned by HEB.
Certain HEBs are nicer than others. When we first moved here, there was only one yucky HEB nearby. I hated it.
