1. I absolutely agree!
And I'm thinking they most likely will.

3. I agree
It's not appropriate for this site anymore.
They are truly disgusting sometimes - it's not good enough to work against breast cancer, have to support child-murder at the same time...
Fortunately some are able to see beyond it...but only partially.

2. I disagree.
Adding a new avatar to represent Planned Parenthood would be cool. I saw someone suggest a birth control pill/condom. Despite the horrible move on part of the Komen Foundation, the pink ribbion represents "breast cancer awareness," not the Komen Foundation, even if they are the ones who started it.

4. Exactly. The pink ribbon is about breast cancer awareness....
Until yesterday, I'd never heard of that Kormen Foundation, but for a long time I've been aware of the pink ribbon and that it represents breast cancer. It's the logo of the National Breast Cancer Foundation here in Australia, and it's a universal symbol. The ribbon avatar shouldn't be removed, but if there's not already a Planned Parenthood avatar (they've got a logo that looks like it'd make a great avatar), one should be added...

Good job the DUmmies are a marginal side-issue in America, I saw a post on a friend's Facebook wall which said that donations to the Komel Foundation have doubled since the announcement.

At the top of Wednesday's NBC Nightly News, anchor Brian Williams sounded the alarm: "Caught in the middle. Two of the biggest names in women's health, tonight in a bitter fight over money and it may be thousands of women who pay the biggest price." In a later tease of the upcoming report he made no secret of who he thought the villain of the story was: "A decision that's making a lot of women furious at the world's largest breast cancer organization. Why did it cut off funds for critical breast cancer screenings?"
One thing Williams failed to mention was the fact that Planned Parenthood does not actually provide mammograms.

I see what the DUmmies have their panties in a wad over concerning the Komen Foundation.
They ended their association with Planned Parenthood on January 31, 2012.
Boo-Freaking-Hoo! :bawl:

I'm pretty sure that we can give them ideas for Planned Murderhood avatars.

This needs to be repeated!

AND
Komen Foundation donations up 100% in the past two days.
Decent and civilized people win again.

It gets worse, people...Komen pulled a rope-a-dope...

Komen drops decision to cut Planned Parenthood funding
The Susan G. Komen Foundation has reversed its decision to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and apologized "to the American public," the Associated Press reports.
The statement issued by founder and CEO Nancy Brinker and the Susan G. Komen Board of Directors, says the foundation will immediately get in touch with its network and key supporters "to refocus our attention on our mission and get back to doing our work."
"The events of this week have been deeply unsettling for our supporters, partners and friends and all of us at Susan G. Komen," the statement says. "We have been distressed at the presumption that the changes made to our funding criteria were done for political reasons or to specifically penalize Planned Parenthood. They were not."

What does killing the unborn have to do with pink ribbons and breast cancer?

It's just a piece of cloth. (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,69084.0.html)
Hypocrites.

I still don't understand their lust for abortion. I can understand being pro-choice to a certain extent, some people think women shouldn't be "punished" with a baby. Some don't think the baby is a baby (or they do but they dont care)' but they are past being pro-choice, they ridicule women who decide to keep their baby or have more than their "allotment". They are PRO-abortion not pro-choice and they are rabid in their view.
-
I think they believe the allottment should be zero.
Wonder how all those people feel who just donated a lot of money yesterday?
-
Gross, Jehmu Greene is on Fox right now grinning like a Cheshire cat about this. She is demogoging this issue. She makes me sick.
-
Well they Komen has really screwed that Charity up for good. All those people that donated the last few days should sue the heck out of the foundation, although I am not sure there is any legal grounds for it.
-
BEG, I cannot STAND her. I race for the remote.
-
When I originally heard this story I thought it was absolutely appropriate thing for Komen to do, just to be true to their cause since there's a good amount of evidence linking abortions and breast cancer. (Dear Beth: I did not get this from Fox News...but I confess I didn't check with the goddess of horizontal movements).

Here's some for them.
Warning: Very graphic and heart wrenching.

I have a question. When people donate to Koman, they are donating for breast cancer research. How does giving money to planned parenthood help breast cancer research? I have a step mom who is a breast cancer survivor; but I think my donations will go to the American Cancer Society from now on.
