Rep. Allen West To Switch Districts For Re-Election Campaign

Rep. Allen West (R-FL), the freshman Congressman and hero of the tea party, announced on Tuesday that he will seek re-election in a different district this year.

West will shift to Florida’s 18th district, which was freed up by Rep. Tom Rooney’s ® decision to run in the 17th district.

The 22nd district, where West won in 2010, was made far more favorable to Democrats under a new redistricting plan that was released last week.

1. Why in the hell is this allowed?
That is criminal

I seem to remember a rumor that a certain elf from Ohio would move to Washington State in order to keep his congressional seat.  Strangely, I don't remember much bitching from the DUmp for that one.

6. Run Away! Run Away! Brave Sir Allen!

As near as I can tell this "war hero" is a candy ass jerk-off whose sole claim to fame is that, in violation of the UCMJ, he fired his weapon next to the head of a captive who was fully restrained; an action for which he was cashiered. What a man!

10. Generally it means relieved of command. West was actually fined $5000, and allowed to retire ...

but no one who knows anything about the military doesn't realize that West knew his career was over, so he quit when the quitting was good.
Just a day or two ago, someone--might of been DAT--made an observation about DUmmies that try to come off as experts on military matters.  Well, here's a textbook example.

Branded, marked with the cowards shame?

Colonel West made a decision that cost him his career but certainly saved the lives of his men.  He accepted the outcome of his decisions like a man, which is something Democrats in general seem incapable of doing.  That he still has the respect and admiration of those men speaks volumes.

General Patton or General Bradley probably wouldn't have batted an eye about some Nazi having a bullet fired near his head.

11 bravo, who most likely got his screenname from some movie he watched, is calling Congressman West a candy ass?
Lots of men would follow West straight through hell carrying a gas can, how many people would do that for this poser at the DUmp?

Hell, the 26th Colonel of the 2nd Cavalry wouldn't have batted an eye if he fired a bullet through a Nazi's head.

DUmmy numbersboo is one of the DUmp's foremost fake soldiers.

He's the self-proclaimed hero of Hamburger Hill, Pork Chop Hill, Missionary Ridge, Little Round Top, and the Argonne Forest.

He's a DUmmy whose military expertise and exploits are matched only by TomInTib.

8. He seems pretty desperate to stay in congress
Why not just move to a different district within Ohio? That would make more sense

They also seemed to have forgotten about a ceratin former first lady that moved from Arkansas and landed in NY after her eight year stay in the White House and ran for a Senate seat without a peep from theri side.

Fixed, and as far as I'm concerned, it's what West should have done to the muzzy, right after he got the information and informed said muzzy his rounds were dipped in lard.

7. It should be illegal

At best it is completely unjust to the constitutes.

How is it unjust to the "constitutes?"  You run, people vote yes or no.  Where is the terrible, unspeakable injustice?

Because only carpet bagging democrats like Clinton can do that.  If an r-word does this, or anything, it is unfair, unjust, and wrong.

Do I have to get a thousand new 'mail in vote' forms for the new district or can I just use whiteout on these I have already filled out?

General Patton ... probably wouldn't have batted an eye about some Nazi having a bullet fired near his head.

Actually...

...I can answer in the affirmative.

When the 157th Infantry liberated Dauchau a few dozen German officers were captured and were under watch by a private manning an LMG. The private opened fire killing 30 to 50 of them (the reports vary). Other soldiers were alleged to do such things as providing weapons to Jewish internees who exacted revenge on their former tormentors.

LTC Sparks was recommended for charges for dereliction, failing to ensure the safety of prisoners, etc. The battalion surgeon was recommended for courts martial for refusing to render aid during the incident and 2 other soldiers were similarly accused in the IGs report.

Patton dimissed the affair staing he had better things to worry about than the death of Nazi concentration camp guards.

LTC Sparks went on to retire as a BG.

There are differing accounts as to what actually happened in that incident, SSB, I doubt the truth will ever be clear, further clouded by the fact that two different divisions both claim to have liberated it, so on top of everything else, internal Army politics entered into the story.

Ironically most of the Germans present seem to have been from a Waffen-SS mech infantry unit that got stuck with the place when the real bastards hit the road one step ahead of the Americans.  Not that they planned to start passing out milk and cookies to the prisoners either, I'm sure.

Wiki has a good run-down on the several different competing versions of the story.  I remember reading Buechner's book on it, which is one of the principal accounts, though it would have been before the 1990's declassification of some relevant documents that is mentioned in the article:

It pains them when Republicans do what Democrats do. It's ok for them but not for us.

You know, I can't wait for the liberal response when the next Republican President uses the new rules for recess appointments that Obama has defined for us :-)

Maybe the 45th was pissed because they had to change their patch.

It would've been kind of awkward to go into battle wearing the old version, you gotta admit!

 :-)

I understand the reason the Brits added a big yellow outer ring to their aircraft marking the the CBI Theater was because the red center of the roundel kept getting mistaken for a meatball by adrenaline-crazed friendlies, and drawing fire.
