Walker lead in Marquette poll not what it seems!

http://fightingbob.com/

C'mon folks. Listen to Daddy Mitt. "Bankers are not bad people---just overwhelmed." Really. He said that, and, of course we all agree--there are some bad, some good bankers but overwelmed? Heck there are even bad lawyers. There are even a few bad judges! OK I have gone to far!

Bad bankers, bad judges, bad lawyers--how about bad pollsters? Headline in JS--GOVERNOR'S JOB RATING UP IN NEW MARQUETTE POLL. What? Marquette has never had a poll so politiFact might say JS has "pants on fire" when they write--newMarquette poll when there has never been an "old Marquette poll". Ah, yes, the unholy alliance strikes again.

Whose poll is it if it is not Marquette's? Did JS ask or are they part of the deal? Recall we have been flashing the yellow caution light about UW Madison's Pol Sci prof Charles Franklin. (He was part of the UW-Madison partnership with extreme right-wing Bradley Foundation's WPRI. Bradley would pay Franklin and his fellow pol.sci profs and Franklin would lend the UW's good name to polls. WPRI would give final approval to the wording, timing, subject matter and they agreed to spin results with MJS! In fact, MJS would get the information ahead of all other media. Tsk, tsk and whoa Nelly. Who conducted this "new Marquette poll"? Why none other than Dr. Franklin: "The new poll says says "this is the first of a series being conducted by Charles Franklin, co-founder of pollster.com and a visiting professor at Marquette on leave from the /UW-Madison. Because he is on leave, he will argue that neither he nor Marquette are covered by the Open Records law st hat tripped him when the WPRI deal was exposed by Fighting Bob.com.

Franklin can influence the decisions of Democrats thinking about challenging Wallker. If they believe Franklin, they might conclude that Walker is getting a Gingrich-like surge.

I think that we should know who is paying Franklin or his new corporate entity. What are the questions, who gets to decide? Who spins? Is Franklin back to the old deal with MJS? Looks like it if you read the story today.

My advice--pay no attention to Franklin's polls and Marquette--old, new or waiting to be cooked.

1. The one flashing light I see is the poll having Falk with one of the closer margins. I travel......

around the state quite a bit and have to interact with quite a few right wing folks and they all hate her with a white hot passion.

In my eyes she is the least likely to win.

3. I agree.

Hell, I'm not particularly fond of her myself. But then I'd vote for Babe the Blue Ox before I'd vote for any Republican.

2. I've got 30,000 Recall Walker volunteers who say the poll is bullshit.

Oh, I dunno.  We'll see.

But the primitives' track record on seeing things isn't exactly good.

I wonder if after Walker wins the recall election, will Wisconsin democrats immediately start another campaign to recall him again?  I wouldn't put it past them, they are that stupid.  They are not going to lose with grace, that much I do know.

Not immediately. There'll be about a 30 minute break before hand while they pick themselves up off the floor from the mass swoon, scream "Stolen by Dee-bold!!1!eleventy!!1!!" a few times, then comes the new recall.

Indeed -

They are going to attempt to recall him again, and do their level best to thwart Walker's every move.

And the same Democrats at DU who complain about The House thwarting Obama will swoon in agreement and adulation of disruptors they approve of.

I'll probably fly back to Wisconsin the day of the election so I can rub it in their faces.

They cannot try to recall Walker after their recall election fails.  It's now or never for them DUmmies.  It's their only chance.

Go ahead, DUmmies, pry those wallets open and send your Cheeto and bong money to recall Walker.  Do it.

I'm sure they would vote for a repuke, just as long as they think they could throw Walker out. That is all they care about is getting even with him.

I swear this must be a bot or something. I think I seen this exact same post in a bunch of other WI threads over there. It must just scan the DUmp every so often and if it sees a WI thread it makes this post.

Well we all know that internet polls are the best if they support a Liberal idea so this one must have been freeped.

Walker is going to walk with this election because the results are in. Lower property taxes, smaller class sizes, NO teacher layoffs, and the school districts are able to spend more on extracurricular activities. The unions are just burning money that can't go to other Liberal DUchebags.

Seems like the Unions and left are making excuses already for losing, they've outspent the Republicans by 3 million dollars and they're still losing in the polls.

From the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute:

Quote
The unions’ battle against Walker’s reforms has rested on the argument that the changes would damage public services beyond repair. The truth, however, is that the reforms not only are saving money already; they’re doing so with little disruption to services. In early August, noticing the trend, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that Milwaukee would save more in health-care and pension costs than it would lose in state aid, leaving the city $11 million ahead in 2012—despite Mayor Tom Barrett’s prediction in March that Walker’s budget “makes our structural deficit explode.”

The collective-bargaining component of Walker’s plan has yielded especially large financial dividends for school districts. Before the reform, many districts’ annual union contracts required them to buy health insurance from WEA Trust, a nonprofit affiliated with the state’s largest teachers’ union. Once the reform limited collective bargaining to wage negotiations, districts could eliminate that requirement from their contracts and start bidding for health care on the open market. When the Appleton School District put its health-insurance contract up for bid, for instance, WEA Trust suddenly lowered its rates and promised to match any competitor’s price. Appleton will save $3 million during the current school year.

At the outset of the public-union standoff, educators had made dire predictions that Walker’s reforms would force schools to fire teachers. In February, to take one example, Madison School District Superintendent Dan Nerad predicted that 289 teachers in his district would be laid off. Walker insisted that his reforms were actually a job-retention program: by accepting small concessions in health and pension benefits, he argued, school districts would be able to spare hundreds of teachers’ jobs. The argument proved sound. So far, Nerad’s district has laid off no teachers at all, a pattern that has held in many of the state’s other large school districts. No teachers were laid off in Beloit and LaCrosse; Eau Claire saw a reduction of two teachers, while Racine and Wausau each laid off one. The Wauwatosa School District, which faced a $6.5 million shortfall, anticipated slashing 100 jobs—yet the new pension and health contributions saved them all. The benefits to school districts aren’t just fiscal, moreover. Thanks to Walker’s collective-bargaining reforms, the Brown Deer school district in suburban Milwaukee can implement a performance-pay system for its best teachers—a step that could improve educational outcomes.

After they throw out all of the Donald Duck's and Goofy, who knows how many valid signatures will remain.

They're not even close to naming a election date. If the school year is completed, it will make it harder to achieve success in the recall. The kids, who will tell their parents how and when to vote, will lose their liberal influence. Without the push, most liberal parents will just skip it.
