Mitt’s Income vs. Your Income
How long would it take the GOP candidate to earn what you make in a year?
By Dan Check|Posted Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at 4:35 PM ET.
Mitt Romney released his 2010 tax return on Monday. His total income for the year was listed as $21.6 million, more than one-half of which came from capital gains.
Interesting and disgusting.

Meh. Petty compared to how much the government pisses away on a daily basis.

Same here. The Repubs are doing a lousy job attacking this class warfare crap. They need to go on the offense rather than being wimpy.

i admit im jealous
but i dont want anyone else, especially the gubmint, to do anything about it

A better comparison would be how long it would take a person to earn the amount of dollars that Warren Buffet's company owes in back taxes.

That's worthy of yet another h5.

I don't begrudge him the wealth. I'd much rather be me than him.
-
Hell, at least he earned most of his money in the private sector and not by using legal insider trading like so many idiot DC politicians have.

Thank you. Since when is being wealthy and well invested a bad thing?
-
...and he paid the required taxes on every dime of it. And those taxes keep up how many DUmmies? How many DUmmies will he be keeping up after the IRS breaks him with taxes?
-
That's worthy of yet another h5.
Definitely.
Since Warren likes to drag his secretary into everything, I wonder how many people could take home her salary for a year based on what he owes the IRS. Or conversely, how many DUmmies could Warren keep in the good life just by paying "his fair share"?

To hell with his "fair share", just pay what he owes.

Why doesn't that cheap bastard pay his secretary more if he is so worried about her standard of living? I have a feeling though, that the DUmmies wouldn't be so sympathetic to Buffet's secretary if we knew how much she makes.

It would take you 235 years 5 months 11 days 22 hours 40 minutes and 4 seconds to make what Mitt made in 2010.
That rocks. Good for mittens.
BTW no mention of the over 3 million dollars he gave to charity.

Everyone is supposed to be totally shocked by the fact Mitt Romney is rich. :???: ::)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2003954/Nancy-Pelosis-wealth-grows-62--lawmakers-annual-form-release-reveals.html
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi saw her wealth rise considerably last year, from just more than $20million to a huge $35.2million.
Establishing Pelosi's place as one of the wealthiest lawmakers in the country, the sudden 62 per cent rise was revealed in the annual release of forms detailing the assets and liabilities of congressmen today.

It is difficult to know exactly what a lawmaker is worth based on what they file because the disclosure forms do not require exact values. Instead, the lawmaker reports a range of value for their assets. To calculate net worth, the Center for Responsive Politics added the lawmaker’s range of assets and subtracted the range of liabilities, calculating the midpoint of the resulting range and using that figure to rank the filers. Figures are from 2006.
1. John Kerry (D.-Mass.)...................$267,789,805
2. Herb Kohl (D.-Wis.)...................... $171,423,011
3. Edward M. Kennedy (D.-Mass.)........$102,822,519
4. Jay Rockefeller (D.-W.Va.)................$91,713,012
5. Dianne Feinstein (D.-Calif.)................$79,555,657
6. Frank R. Lautenberg (D.-N.J.).............$79,051,090
7. Elizabeth Dole (R.-N.C.)....................$43,867,072
8. John McCain (R.-Ariz.).....................$36,431,099
9. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.)...................$30,691,003
10. Lamar Alexander (R.-Tenn.)............$27,800,155

Warren has feathered his nest by having the ear of the President. Instead of the oil from Canada being shipped by pipeline, it will be shipped by rail. He just happens to own a shit pot of railroad stock that will deliver that oil. Hmmm

Liberal hypocrisy on display. Buffet wants to be taxed more, but refuses to pay back taxes. His secretary who we are being led to believe deserves all kind of sympathy for her higher tax rate makes between 300k to 500k per annum.
