People Don't Get More Conservative as They Get Older
"Amidst the bipartisan banter of election season, there persists an enduring belief that people get more conservative as they age -- making older people more likely to vote for Republican candidates," according to Discovery News.
"Ongoing research, however, fails to back up the stereotype... In fact, studies show that people may actually get more liberal over time when it comes to certain kinds of beliefs. That suggests that we are not pre-determined to get stodgy, set in our ways or otherwise more inflexible in our retirement years."

Notice the original article states "certain kinds of beliefs" whatever that means.
Anyway, it's nice to know that kpete has been able to maintain all of her liberal credentials between trips to the plastic surgeon's office.

Considering seniors are being told every 2 years to vote democrat or they will be pushed over a cliff or forced to eat dog food, I am surprised the number is not higher.

Funny, I find as I get older, I get more conservative.
I'm also getting less and less tolerant of liberals and their tried and failed ideas. :hammer:

So do they like old people again?

So do they like old people again?
Only every Presidential election cycle or any other time is suits their agenda.

So do they like old people again?
Only if they can punch the chad completely thru the ballot. :rotf:

They play this game a lot, bootstrapping financial self-interests of a group into broader generalizations about their political ideology. Sometimes it blows up on them, like assuming that a population of minorities with a created financial dependence on Democrat government will necessarily support gay marriage. They are unable to separate political choices from economic ones in their own minds, which is why they are so horrible at fiscal management.
