After America
Not so long ago, a high-ranking Chinese official, who obviously had concluded that America's decline and China's rise were both inevitable, noted in a burst of candor to a senior U.S. official: "But, please, let America not decline too quickly." Although the inevitability of the Chinese leader's expectation is still far from certain, he was right to be cautious when looking forward to America's demise.
.
For if America falters, the world is unlikely to be dominated by a single preeminent successor -- not even China. International uncertainty, increased tension among global competitors, and even outright chaos would be far more likely outcomes.
While a sudden, massive crisis of the American system -- for instance, another financial crisis -- would produce a fast-moving chain reaction leading to global political and economic disorder, a steady drift by America into increasingly pervasive decay or endlessly widening warfare with Islam would be unlikely to produce, even by 2025, an effective global successor. No single power will be ready by then to exercise the role that the world, upon the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, expected the United States to play: the leader of a new, globally cooperative world order. More probable would be a protracted phase of rather inconclusive realignments of both global and regional power, with no grand winners and many more losers, in a setting of international uncertainty and even of potentially fatal risks to global well-being. Rather than a world where dreams of democracy flourish, a Hobbesian world of enhanced national security based on varying fusions of authoritarianism, nationalism, and religion could ensue.

The peasants will be the last to learn of this. But I am not the only one noticing these trends... and I have written extensively about this here. But it seems to me that at this point folks need a reality check. This is not going to be on your evening news. Nor, quite possibly, in the NYT for a while yet. But it is now a regular matter of discussion in very elite media... and I do not care if this is Zbignew Brzezinski (no, no relation) or whoever. This is now being discussed at a very serious level.
So time to start thinking about this in a serious manner...
And at this time, well, guess what? I have been in extremely good company for close to a decade... but alas those folks do not write in the Daily Picayune.

Oh Nads, the "elite" media has been singing the-fall-of-the-empire song for as long as I can remember.
Overrated then as it is now.

Yeah, the yenta, while longing for the decline of America, grabs all the advantages she can get from being a military wife in America--advantages she wouldn't have it she were married to a retired submarine skipper in the Mexican navy.
But anyway, as usual, the yenta doesn't know excresence.
Intelligence reports are apparently indicating China's going to crack, perhaps well within our lifetimes.

Coach, Mr. nutcase nadin wasn't a submarine skipper. He was a non-commissioned officer.
It's becoming more evident that he's a party to her lunacy, translating some of her nadinisms into English for that free "East County" moonbat blog.
Nuclear submarine skippers are high-ranking commissioned officers, among the very best of the U.S. Navy officer corps.
It's highly unlikely a submarine skipper would be within ten feet of a lunatic like nadin.
A submarine commander would also enjoy a better retirement, explaining the crappy little condo where nadin's mental illness festers.

Nadin sees trends in everything doesn't she?

4. The elites are discussing something that will be
a very different world than what you have now
And actually the chaos you are seeing right now is a classic of the time when there is a shuffle at the top of the food chain.
I saw the trends clearly as early as 2006... I started seeing the small trickle of articles into elite pubs by 2009. This means they know and per usual you will be the last one to know. And his article is just the latest. FP actually runs a blog on this now.

If something anti-US comes out you can count on Nadine to mention it!!
And to of course known about it before anyone. :whatever:

Well, okay.
I was a little sloppy here.
I thought a skipper merely guided a submarine.
I didn't know he commanded it too.
<<had to nadin all this.

This one comment illustrates the blinding arrogance, the jaw-dropping condescension of nadin.

And the DUmpmonkeys just take it.
With the exception of two or three soon-to-be tombstoners, the DUmmies are too stupid and timid to challenge her.

Time will take care of the yenta.
The problem being, she's got unusual endurance.
But sooner or later Time will redress its folly.

It's certainly a real possibility. Economic and energy issues aside, the One-Child Policy has planted a demographic bomb that will have some serious unintended consequences, especially since the Communist sooper-jeenyuses that came up with it failed to anticipate that Chinese families would follow counterrevolutionary norms and overwhelmingly want to have a son rather than a daughter for their one child, using abortion and even infanticide on rather wide scales to make it happen that way.

Why do they hate the country and social system that provide so much for them?

Nadin sees trends in everything doesn't she?
If that were true, she wouldn't be wearing that atrocious flower dress or whatever it was in the pic we found, now would she?
At this point, I'm convinced that the only thing Nads knows for certain is how to eat.
To her credit, she's very good at it.

It's clear that nutty nads really impressed herself when she discovered Foreign Policy magazine.
It's just a lefty periodical subsidiary of the lefty daily Washington Post.
Clearly, nadin was uber impressed, and has decided it makes her look smart to copy-and-paste from it, then advise the DUmmies that she knew all this stuff years ago.
If the DUmp were a meteorology forum, she'd copy-and-paste from the Old Farmer's Almanac.
And if the weathermen were like DUmmies, they'd bow and worship her.

I give her hubs somewhat of a pass. I am convinced that the person deciphering nadins gibberish for the blogs is DUmmy Liberty Belle, I am certain that Liberty Belle is Miriam Raftery the Editor and Founder of EAST COUNTY MAGAZINE (http://www.eastcountymagazine.org/). nadins' hubs has to know that she's a loon, but I doubt that he is her editor.

No surprise she's an expert in chaos and declines!

Nadin says, "I saw the trends clearly as early as 2006... per usual you will be the last one to know. "
I did too....right after the democrats won a majority and Nancy P. came to power.

Coach--the Mexican Navy has no submarines. Seems the one time they tried to use them someone left the sun roof open.

Supperman came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Supperman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in her bare hands, and who, disguised as nutcase nadin, mild mannered reporter for a moonbat internet blog.......
