EXCLUSIVE: Chris Dodd warns of Hollywood backlash against Obama over anti-piracy bill
Hollywood's top lobbyist and former Sen. Chris Dodd is threatening to cut off campaign funds to President Obama's re-election effort because of anger over the White House appearing to side with tech companies in a bitter fight over anti-piracy legislation.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Dodd fired off a warning to Obama -- his former Senate Democratic colleague in this election year -- "don't take us for granted."
"Candidly, those who count on quote 'Hollywood' for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who's going to stand up for them when their job is at stake," Dodd told Fox News. "Don't ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don't pay any attention to me when my job is at stake."

**** you, Chris Dodd.

Yeah, but **** Obama too. Whatever sows discontent and all that. :whistling:

Obama is in a pickle with this one.
If he does what Hollywood wants, he shuts down 90% of the internet-he's the bad guy to 90% of Americans.
If he doesn't he loses a major source of funding.
Hmmm. I'd like to root for someone in every fight, but I'm hoping they both lose this one.

It's a completely empty threat. When it comes down to the general election, they'll cough up for him as much as ever, moreso if anybody but Mittens is the final GOP candidate.

**** you, Chris Dodd.
Obama's path is clear. The House of Representatives won't pass the bill, so he can stand back, wipe his hands, and blame the "obstructionist" Republicans.

Hi5. I must bow before thine wisdom, Tanker

If Newt is the candidate, those self-righteous guys in Hollywood will scream to high heaven and write those checkbooks. At least Newt married the women. I'm thinking of those artistic types like Roman Polasnski who liked to rape little girls and all those multiple married folks out there.
This is similar to Obama's dilemna with the pipeline----he's caught between the union folks and the overly sensitive enviromentalists. He can't blame the Republicans on this one. Oh yeah, wait, the Republicans pushed him to make up his mind with a time limit. Of course, it's the Eeevil Republican's fault. :whatever:
-
Yah, like they're going to flock to the GOP.

Maybe they could start their own party, the Film Actor's Guild. Vote for FAG.
(Hi5 to the first to say what movie I stole that from)

If they both lose this one, sir, the American people will be the winners, as long as the Republican candidate wins that is.
