Official Iowa results show Santorum beat Romney by 34 votes

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has a 34-vote lead in the Iowa caucuses over rival Mitt Romney, certified results will indicate.

The final vote count for the contest has Santorum with 29,839 votes to 29,805 for Romney, The Des Moines Register reported.

Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, acknowledged Thursday the results leave him in a virtual tie with the former Pennsylvania senator.

Well, you could blame the GOP for being too slow to count votes, but with Floriduh's hanging chads still leaving a bad taste in our mouths, I'd much rather them be methodical about getting the tally right.

But, yeah, it's the MSM's fault. They selected Romney and, by God, that's who we're gonna have.  :whatever:

There was all that talk about Romney having the momentum from the 8 vote win which helped him in NH.  Who can say how this would have affected the NH vote?
