Ain't Done Nothing, Ain't Gonna Do Nothing
I am so sick and tired of watching Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and their confederates blame everything on the President and act as if they are helpless to do anything about the problems this nation faces.
Goodness knows the President has his own share of things to be blamed for, but he is not running for office this year.
I know you folks must get tired of hearing me say this, but this is the most do-nothing Congress and Senate I can remember this nation being cursed with. They refuse to do anything, and if someone else suggests something, they try to blow it out of the water before it even gets implemented.
This week, President Bush strongly suggested drilling for oil in ANWR, the huge reserve on the Northern coast of Alaska, and no sooner were the words out of his mouth than Schumer had a news conference proclaiming that it would take 10 years to bring ANWR online and that the oil produced would have little or no effect on the economy.
I don't know where Mr. Schumer got his information but I believe it is extremely flawed. And besides that, if Bill Clinton had not killed the project back when he was President, the wells in ANWR would already be online and replacing millions of barrels we have to get from some Middle Eastern Muslim country who hates us.
Senator Hillary Clinton says that she wants to return to the tax rates to what we paid in the nineties, well let's take a look at the rates while her husband was President versus the rates under President Bush.
Under Clinton a single person making $30,000 a year paid $8,400
Under Bush that same person pays $4,500
Under Clinton a single person making $50,000 paid $14,000
Under Bush the same person pays $12,500
Under Clinton a married person making $60,000 paid $16,800
The same person under Bush pays $9,000
I won't list every income bracket, but in every case the taxes under Clinton are significantly higher. If we returned to the rates of the nineties would that really be raising taxes on the rich? I think not.
And let me tell you what our elected officials do with our hard earned tax dollars.
2.2 billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs for illegal aliens.
2.5 billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens
12 billion dollars a year is spent schooling kids who are here illegally and can't even speak English.
3 million dollars a day is spent on incarcerating illegal aliens.
And did you know that 30% of all federal prison inmates are illegal aliens.
Did you know that illegal aliens in this country have a crime rate that is two and a half times higher than legal aliens?
Did you know that illegal aliens have sent 45 billion American dollars back to their home countries?
We are all hung up in the ever changing situation of the presidential race, as we well should be, but let's don't forget that the people who actually pass the laws are up for reelection too and about 80% of them should be sent home because they ain't done nothing and they ain't gonna to do nothing.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops
God bless America
