Curious, thoughts?

Someone more conservative and from the south or southwest.
Rubio would be a good choice, but he's said repeatedly he doesn't want it. However, methinks he doth protest too much. OTOH, he realizes he has no national leadership experience and knows that would be a liability on a ticket (not that it stopped Obama, but hey...)
Haley Barbour would be another good pick, if he gets out from under the pardon issues he's now facing. Ditto Bobby Jindal.

HELL no. I'm so f'n pissed at that jackass right now I'd probably stay home. Wonder if Nikki Haley is wanting the job? She's bringing in businesses left and right through the business-friendly atmosphere she's creating.
-
Hermain Cain or West would be good. Rubio would be my top choice and if it offered to him, he will take it.
-
Rubio.
-
Rubio.
Florida is a must win state for the Repubs and Rubio pick would ensure that.

West would help with that and he also brings military experience . Do any of the current candidates have any?
-

Ron Paul.
I think the Governors can attest they were in charge so to speak of the National Guard. Romney and Perry have had to mobilize both (Perry probably numerous times).
-
I still want Bachmann.
-

Perry and Paul.
-
It seems like military experience isn't very important these days, no one seems to talk about it much. Granted, I don't listen to Paul much since his voice drives me crazy along with his ideas.

yeah that. WTF happened with those pardons??? Sheesh.
-
If I remember the McCain Campaign, his staff members HATED Sarah Palin and after the election publicly trashed her.
SO LEARN THIS: a conservative as Veep does nothing but decieve the voters. Conservative Veeps will be kept out of the loop, and will not have an oportunity to infulence policy.
Mitt + a conservative Veep = a liberal administration, little different from Obama's.
Mitt + a conservative Veep = liberals appointed to the USSC. and liberal judges appointed at all other levels.
A conservative veep will not neccessarily be the next presidential candidate, as another RINO will get the nod.
Establishment Republicans only want conservative votes, they do NOT want conservatives in power.
If Mitt gets the nod I'm going 3rd party. I won't sit this one out cause I want local tea party candidates to win.
But I know better now than to vote a RINO into office.

I have never liked Borbour, maybe it is his accent. :p

His 200 plus pardons of violent criminals puts a nix on VP as far as I am concerned.

His 200 plus pardons of violent criminals puts a nix on VP as far as I am concerned.
Suspicious minds believe hidden in the mix of the pardons was at least one person that comes from a family of wealth that wants their child home. Or perhaps someone that is the target of the MOB--for better name--and only way they can off the SOB is to get him out of prison.
OK,OK, I read too many Conspiracy Blogs, BUT, some equate this unbelievable Act to that of the real cases of people that wanting to get rid of someone kills others so the victims who have nothing in common are scrambled and the actual target is lumped in with the others.
200 pardons is so vast a number of criminals to set loose on the streets, I wonder if a full list of those pardoned will be published to the Public.
What on earth does this ACT do to benefit the Bozo Governor. Did he actually meet in person those he Pardoned, is it possible that all 200 of them were part of his household Staff.
So many possibility's here, the Conspiracy stuff is fun to read, wild theory's and suggestions.
My vote for VP is----Tim Tebow----I am sure he can do a better job then Biden, or Paul. Tebow is young and will learn the ropes fast, a team player and he studies his opponents weaknesses.
-
200? I thought we were talking a dozen or two at MOST. Yeah, scratch him off the list.
Frankly, I can't think of anyone with any name recognition west of Texas that would interest me. A few WITHOUT name recognition, but oh well. Nobody knew who Sarah Palin was before July 2008 either.
-
Please reconsider.
I would only do so because you ask. I say that because I respect you.
My main problem with Mitt is he is a flaming lib with an R by his name. Beg, remember when 2nd amendment Gun Rights came before the USSC? It survived by only ONE vote. All the libs voted to deny Americans the right to own guns. What kind of appointment will Mitt make? Will he put in office another liberal like him, or a constitutional conservative?
Bush had a republican majority senate, and they revolted against USSC nominee Hariet Meyers...why? She was a liberal. Bush relented and a conservative was appointed. We can thank God that we had a majority at that time, otherwise the 2nd amendment would have been LOST.
Bush was a RINO and he nominated a RINO to the USSC. He was nowhere near as liberal as Mitt. But my point is this: a conservative veep does not appoint justices to the court. Mitt will ENSURE not just a liberal high court, but liberal appointees to courts all up and down the system.
--and we are NOT guaranteed a GOP senate to check his appointments.
Bottom line: Mitt is an elected republican from Mass. As Senator Scott Brown proved, there are NO conservatives in that state.
If a viable 3rd party candidate runs, I will seriously consider him. as I would urge all of you to do as well.

If they are viable I will but we can not have BHO as president for another 4 years. I actually fear the possibility.

If Mitt wins, it will not make a crap cause most of them that have been chosen are just window dressing for the top dog. I am getting ill with conservatives thinking that Romney is a shoe-in.

that was my stance last time, which is why i didnt vote for mccain
but in reality i know i cant repeat that this time.
So i got a question for Y'all haters.... Would it be OK for Dr. Nutz to VP? he wouldn't have control over the armed forces!
As of today my ideal ticket would be Newt/Ron '12 / '16

I'd actually prefer Dr Nutz as chairman of the Fed, or Director of the IRS. It would be like the 4th of July, all the DUmmie heads assploding

Is there any reason we have not delved into the Pentagon for a leader???? We really need a presidency that is a team work, say a president in charge of economic issues and a VP in charge of defence. With a change of administration who will be our next Secretary of State ?
It is not just who becomes president but who he is likely to bring on as Advisers and Cabinet members.
We saw with Obama all the seats of power he gave to former terrorists, pedophiles and those that used government agency's to bilk the taxpayers, Acorn was a good start.
Question as I have forgotten, was Barney Frank around when Mitt was Governor of Mass. ???? If this is so and Mitt was as Governor unable to controll him, how do we expect Mitt to lead our country?
Do we want a life long politician in charge of FEMA or a retired General that knows the ropes ?
National security, now who do we trust to keep our country from the drugs and illegals marching into our country with the terrorists, some ex-governer of a State or a Professional in these things? The conduct of those that decided to put in force that disgraceful gun dealing cockamamie idea were nothing but amateurs in the real life of Security, Bet the Pinkertons could do a better job of security then these so called Federal Agents.
Look not to the man himself but look to his associates and their past history.

Dr. Nutz simply needs to retire and get the hell out of public life. He's 76 years old and based on the way he moves shuffles, he doesn't have many years in front of him anyway.
Dr. Nutz - go away. As quickly as your shuffling gait permits.

Unfortunately, Rand Paul ain't that far from his old man. And given moRON's performance at last night's debate, I'm amazed he's ever been elected to anything more responsible than dogcatcher in Sugarland.

Yeah, the nut didn't fall far from the tree, but as least with Rand in the Senate, he'll go to Charm School for a while before he straps on the straitjacket.

And that's what makes Rand Paul that much scarier. He's going to polish that turd just enough to have just enough morons buy into his line of bullshit.
Unless his old man screws it up for him and runs third party, which will enable Obumbles to basically waltz into a second term.
-
I don't like Haley Barbour. He's out. Preferably Herman Cain. Marco Rubio, or Nikki Haley.
-
I think there is a pretty good chance that most of you are off on the wrong track, and he wouldn't pick anyone smacking of TEA Part contamination lest it screw up his 'Out-Democrat the Democrats' strategy.
Mitt really hasn't said shit about real entitlement reform or seriously reining in the NLRB and EPA, a triad of true bleeding economic wounds in the out-years, and repeal of all or most of HCRA doesn't seem to feature in his presentation either, since talking about it just opens the door to look at the travesty wrought in Massholistan. He isn't going to pick anyone that pricks that bubble of illusion.
-

On social and environmental issues, Mitt would be a disaster that would enrage Tea Party Conservatives to vote 3rd party next election if he governed like he did as Governor in MA. I just do not trust this Yankee cat who is trying to change his spots. Many people got fooled by Obama. I do not see that much difference between these two birds.

He should offer it to Ann Coulter considering she's in his tank.

Old chicken neck was irate that Newt put the hurt on her Yankee boy. I thought she was going to explode on O'Reilly Monday night. These Yankee backers of Mitt are hilarious. Christie is another RINO on his band wagon while Newt has Palin, Norris, Perry, Thompson.
Newt is going to stomp Mitt like he did in SC. In the South, we just do not trust flip flopping slick Yankees like Mitt.
-

I used to read all her weekly columns, but whenever Romney is the topic, I skip it. She should stick to attacking the liberals . It is what she does best.

Even on Red Eye she was out of control. She is a True Mitt Believer and she can't even relax on a comedy show.

i agree, sticking it to dims is her role.
people endorsing is one thing. when they start doing the dirty work it gets a little disgusting.
this morning i read in the (MN) paper pawlenty smacktalking newt about lobby work. well I'd bet pawlenty becomes a lobbyist when he doesn't get picked for VP.

It's rather sad that these wimps in Congress will not attack Obama and the Democrats but when their fair haired golden boy who is supposed to be our nominee gets his balls busted, all the Yankee politicians/journalists cry foul. That is what elections are for and comments by him, Coulter and Christie are disgusting.

Bingo. And that's where she makes her money.
-

Makes me question whether she believes in what she writes. She does hang out with all of the Yankee beautiful people and elites in Manhattan.

I believe she believes in what she writes. And what she says.
But Ann Coulter is all about making money. She's very good at it, too.
She's on record as supporting Romney. And whether you want to believe it's because where she lives or who she hangs out with, meh. Doesn't much matter.
The key thing with Ann is that she's a salesman. She's selling her books, her columns, and her speeches.
It really boils down to just that.
-
I think she really believes what she writes, she is just in an establishment echo chamber and she seems very afraid of a second Obama term.
And while I am also very afraid of a second Obama term, I don't believe in rushing in to support a Johnny Bravo type candidate just because he can fill out the suit.
