WASHINGTON — Tony Blankley, a conservative author and commentator who served as press secretary to Newt Gingrich during the 1990s, when Republicans took control of Congress, has died. He was 63.
Blankley, who had been suffering from stomach cancer, died Saturday night at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, his wife, Lynda Davis, said Sunday.
In his long career as a political operative and pundit, his most visible role was as a spokesman for and adviser to Gingrich from 1990 to 1997. Gingrich became House Speaker when Republicans took control of the U.S. House of Representatives following the 1994 midterm elections.
Earlier, Blankley spent six years in the Reagan administration in a variety of positions, including speechwriter and senior policy analyst.

It starts out about as respectful as one could ever expect from the DUmp:

1. Sorry to see him go even though he was a pompous windbag

There was a period of time when you couldn't turn on any talking head TV program without seeing him.
Then all of a sudden he wasn't around anymore and I wondered what happened to him.

2. Very sad. I didn't agree with him but I would not wish him dead, for sure.

5. Not one to offer false sympathy.... good riddance, he didn't seem to much care about his own health

based on his obesity alone. Otherwise he was a plague on the 99% and I feel justified schadenfraude at his passing as I had nothing to do with it and should feel no guilt as to the relief that one more winger is silenced.

8. well, I wouldn't have wished stomach cancer on him.

but if he had died of a heart attack, given his monumental gluttony, it would have been schadenfreude all over.
:whatever:

I guess it's okay to feel the same way then when Bawney Fwank dies of Ass Inflicted dick syndrome. For that matter when any ghey person dies of AIDS.

So when Michael Moore kicks the bucket, will it be his fault?

Only if he dies of stomach cancer or heart attack. Then the freudenschade is authorized.

11. Dying doesn't make an evil ****er any better.
**** him.
To be fair, many of the DUmmies are respectful.
RIP, Tony. I read his regular column in the Washington Times. Smart guy. Way too young to go.
