Sure, this probably belongs under GD but this is The Lounge" and the story is relaxing, refreshing and wholly entertaining:
SEAL Chris Kyle Describes How He Punched Fake-Seal Jesse Ventura In The Face
—Ace
Chris Kyle was having a wake for a fallen friend (Mike Monsour, I think he said) and Jesse Ventura insisted on not only railing against the war, and not only claiming these guys were killing innocent women and children, but going to the next level -- saying they deserved to lose the war, if "you guys" were the ones fighting it.
He can't go any lower, you say? Wrong. He can go down to the floor.

One of the most refreshing things I've heard in a long time.
Here we are, only the 5th of January and I think it's safe to say Ventura already has a lock on Asshole Of The Year 2012.
Might as well just give him the trophy now, why wait?

That's a dumbass thing to say for a BUD/S graduate and frogman with UDT. Note that I did NOT say that Ventura was a SEAL. That would not be correct.

From Wiki~
Navy career
From September 11, 1969, to September 10, 1975, during the Vietnam War era, Ventura served in the United States Navy. Ventura graduated with BUD/S class 58 in December 1970[7] and was part of Underwater Demolition Team 12 (UDT).[8] The UDTs were merged with the US Navy SEALs in 1983, 8 years after Ventura had left the Navy.
Bill Salisbury, an attorney in San Diego and a former Navy SEAL officer, accused Ventura of "pretending" to be a SEAL and wrote that Ventura would be blurring an important distinction by claiming to be a SEAL when he was actually a frogman with the UDT. Compared to SEAL Teams, UDTs saw less combat and took fewer casualties.[9][10][11] Following that, Governor Ventura's office confirmed that Ventura was a member of the UDTs. His spokesman stated that Ventura has never tried to convince people otherwise.[9] Ventura stated: "Today we refer to all of us as SEALs; that's all it is," and described the accusations of lying about being a SEAL as "[m]uch ado about nothing."[11]
Ventura has frequently referred to his military career in public statements and debates.[9][12][13] He was criticized by hunters and conservationists for stating in an interview with the Minneapolis StarTribune in April 2001, "Until you have hunted men, you haven't hunted yet."[13][14]
In January 2002, Ventura, who had never specifically claimed to have fought in Vietnam, disclosed for the first time that he did not see combat. He did not receive the Combat Action Ribbon, which was awarded to those involved in a firefight or who went on clandestine or special operations where the risk of enemy fire was great or expected.

Whether or not Ventura actually rates that Budweiser badge that he likes to wear is something of a grey area. Technically he would have had to officially apply for it after it was created in 1975, replacing the then obsolete UDT badge which he did rate.
In any event, when you've got bona fide active duty SeALs knocking you on your ass that pretty much separates the wheat from the chaff right there.

The guy who knocked Ventura flat:
255 confirmed kills: Meet Navy SEAL Chris Kyle... the deadliest sniper in US history
* Served four tours of duty in Iraq, where he gained the nickname 'The Devil of Ramadi' from insurgents
* Longest shot was a 2,100-yard strike against a man armed with a rocket launcher
* Prefers a bolt-action .300 Winchester Magnum custom sniper rifle
* Left the Navy after 10 years to 'save his marriage'

Good. I'm pretty sick of Jesse and his blowhard bullshit.
-
Something tells me he took his character in Predator far too seriously.
-
Ventura lost all credibility when he became a 9-11 Troofer.
-
Yup. Good shot, SEAL. A hearty H5 for him.
"Prefers a bolt-action .300 Winchester Magnum custom sniper rifle," eh? He's probably one of the guys that indirectly drove the development of the XM-2010 sniper rifle.

Jesse, was in a dangerous job --true---- but for years now he has become an actor with choreographed down to the split second so called fights. Who can take seriously a bad ass man wearing fishnet tights a feather boa and know this is some kind of interesting theater he is has spent most of his adult life in.
Jesse is lucky he was decked by a SEAL, had the family of the fallen Hero heard that remark, I am sure the wife, or mother of the Hero would have done much worse to him.
Sounds that this was a publicity stunt on Jesse's side, wonder why the cops were there ???? Were the SEALS set up for this encounter????? Is Jesse so desperate for attention he would actually deliberately be this obnoxious at a frigging wake?????
GOD bless the family of our Hero and may Jesse feel shame for what he started. The only problem I have with all this is the SEAL should have hit him much harder, really put a hurting on the SOB.

Several things, vesta . . .
1. SEALs are a family.
2. The cops were there probably to keep individuals along the lines of Fred Phelps' minions, or the Code Pinkos, away.
3. IIRC, Michael Monsour got the Medal of Honor postumously.
4. Chris Kyle didn't kill Ventura, which is a testament to his discipline.
-
I used to like Jesse in the movies untill he started with all this conspiracy shit . He's either become an attenion whore or always was an asshole and it's just now out in Public.
-
SEAL Kyle couldn't POSSIBLY have hit Ventura hard enough. Even if he could pick up a Ford F-150, he still couldn't do it.
Congrats though should certainly go to him. And Thank You!

I can't remember if this has been mentioned on this thread or elsewhere, but Chris Kyle wrote a book entitled "Military's Deadliest Sniper" and is doing interviews. I think I caught the interview he did with some slimy looking wench from, it should be no surprise to anyone to know this, Slime Magazine.
The book is available on Amazon.com for about $16 for the paper copy and $13 for the Kindle version.
I ordered a copy for my Kindle, if for no other reason than to support him and what he's trying to do -- illustrate the level of sacrifice that SEALs and other SpecOps guys go through AND their families.
Chris left the Navy after 10 years, 2 Silver Stars, a Purple Heart, and a Bronze Star with V-device because he wanted to save his marriage.
That's the kind of man he is.
