January 2nd and I'm at work (this sucks) are you at work today?
Driving in was like early Saturday morning. I work for a company that claims to be 'family' (the new Republican buzz word for business, the family company) but we're open EVERY holiday except Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they were open the day after Christmas.
Sucks.
Yeah yeah, I should be happy I have a job, yeah yeah.
Still sucks.

I tell you, these people are ungrateful old brats. My husband has been off for 13 days. He EARNED a month but didn't have time between projects to take off. I never once heard him complain.
Maybe Brain needs to go hungry or homeless for a while. Learn to appreciate that Republican family job. Work is such a dirty word to DUmmies.
We can't all fart around making garbage bag octopus floats. SOMEBODY has to be responsible. :rotf:

Shut up you little *****. My husband worked for a boat manufacturer (he designed boats) where if you wanted to get paid you had to work...that included Christmas and Thanksgiving. There were no vacation days and he wasn't an hourly employee either. His position required a degree.
Be glad you have a job, there are so many people who would love to be in your position you whinny little bitch.

So it costs me a postage stamp each time I mail her the rent. Plus, it went up this year by 50 dollars. All my bills are paid on line,
except rent. She's still in the ice age, as far as computers are concerned. Meh ..

I worked new years eve (14 hours), new years day (9 hours) and today (9 hours) so I have no sympathy for some whiney DUmmy punk who doesn't appreciate having a job to go to.

A stamp cost 44 cents.
Some, if not most, of the places I deal with charge $1.50 or more "service charge" to pay online or to use a credit/debit card, either to me, or the payee.
I only use the online services when I need a bill paid NOW, otherwise, I mail them.
44 cents is still cheaper than $1.50, unless you're a DUmmie.

My parents can remember times when even retail stores closed on Sundays, every Sunday...you know, so people could have a day of rest and could go to church. What really has me :rofl: is the fact that liberals and how they think largely did this to themselves over the years when they dispensed with traditions that actually benefited them even if they didn't like the philosophy behind the tradition. In true dumbass form, they threw the baby out with the bathwater. Reap what you sew, man.

There were stores around here that were closed on Wednesdays as well, or closed at noon on Wednesdays.
Not so much anymore since the days of K-Mart, Walmart, etc.

You don't even want to know how many nights, weekends, and holidays I've worked in the past year. Worse yet, ask a man or woman in uniform how many THEY'VE worked. When I was on the boats I got, IIRC, TWO Christmas Days off. ONE Thanksgiving. NO New Year's Eve/Day.

That's all they want and they'll steal as many elections as required to put a government-owned gun to your head to get it. They'll smile and tell you it's for "the common man" but go ahead and ask them to mind the shop on January 2nd so "the common man's" life can be a little easier and all you'll get is grousing on the internet.

Yeah...personally I'm not comfortable setting up any kind of autopay on any 'unbounded' bill, only for things that have a definite and unvarying payment. Anything else, I want hands-on control to include timing of the payment.

I keep hoping year after year to get some form of consistency from the primitives, but they're only consistent at being inconsistent. 2012 doesn't look anymore promising.
