WND readers and editors choose the top 10

While the establishment news media brought plenty of bad economic news in 2011, the real story hasn’t been adequately told.
The true rate of unemployment and inflation and the real state of the U.S. economy, which is far worse than reported, tops WND’s annual list of the 10 most “spiked†or underreported stories of the last year.
At the end of each year, many news organizations typically present their retrospective replays of what they consider to have been the top news stories of the previous 12 months.
WND’s editors, however, long have considered it more newsworthy to publicize the most underreported or unreported news events of the year – to shine a spotlight on those issues that the establishment media successfully “spiked.â€
WND Editor and CEO Joseph Farah has sponsored “Operation Spike†every year since 1988, and since founding WND in May 1997, has continued the annual tradition.
Produced with the help of WND readers, here are the WND editors’ picks for the 10 most underreported or unreported stories of 2011:
I had to go find the article because the link was busted, but it was worth it (aside from the birther stuff, not my cup of tea).

Gibson Guitar...if my lazy son will soon get off his a$$ and finish the requirements for his Eagle Scout rank, I'm going to buy him a nice Gibson of his choice. He hasn't ever asked for much and when told I'd reward him with a guitar , he selected a low priced one to make it easy on me....but I'll get him a Gibson guitar of equal capacity and better quality as a surprise plus a Marshall half-stack whatever that is.
I got a catalog in the mail the other day from The Guitar Center. They're having a sale on Gibson guitars right now. I don't know much about guitars, but I'd say the Marshall half-stack is an amplifier/speaker combo. :rocker2:
I know that but I don't know/understand what makes it so special to him.
Well, the brand "Marshall" is a very popular brand with rockers. The bigger the better. Maximum hearing damage is a good thing. That sorta stuff.
