Scoobie got me a brewing kit. Beer, oh, delicious beer will be mine!
Anyone else?
-
Hubby gave me a new gun that doesn't hurt my wrists. :-)
-
Wife got me a Browning Hi Power in 40 S&W.
!st gun I bought this year was a 75th anniversary Hi Power in 9mm. Last one is in a 40.
Funniest thing that happened was that I ordered a DVD and a bench kit from Dillon for one of my reloading presses. I ordered it about two weeks ago. While opening the gifts today, my wife thought it was something she ordered for me, and wrapped it up without opening it. Imaging my surprise when I opened it.
Something I ordered, paid for and she wrapped it and gave it to me as a gift.
We had a good laugh.
-
New lawn mower - mulch and catch model.
Ultrasonic case cleaner , micrometer , 45/70 die set and some miscellaneous bits and pieces for the reloading bench.
-
I got a coffee bean grinder. Yes, I wanted one. I'm waiting to finalize the SU-2000 purchase.
-
I got an Amazon Kindle Fire and enough cash to pay off my car. :yahoo:

My daughter gave me a straightening iron and blow dryer, and two Swarovski crystal bracelets. Son gifted me with huge boxes of fudge and truffles, and a marble cheese plate and knife set. My husband gave me a silverplated set of measuring spoons, a bottle of peach liqueur (delish btw) and spent all his 260K Marriott points on a set of Swarovski crystal wine goblets. No fancy digs for him next time he travels. :-)
I bought him three high end bottles of whiskies and cognac, as well as an iPod. Kiddos got him more expensive booze, a retro AM/FM radio, a CD of the original HG Wells radio broadcast about invading aliens.
Besides a bunch of relatively minor stuff, we bought our daughter a new Bose surround system and our son a new 42" flat screen tv.
The grandson made out like a minature bandit. I think when we add all the new stuff to the old stuff he's got about enough for a toy store.
-
Kindle Fire, a cupcake stand, and LOTS OF CASH! WOOHOO! :)
-
a cupcake stand
-
My wife and I got exactly what we asked for: Nothing. We are happy with that! Having all the family here yesterday for a big meal was truly a gift.
We keep our money for birthday, Christmas and anniversary gifts and go to out to eat or to some concert, or take a trip somewhere. Our kids need their ca$h for their own families. We pay no attention to the other Hallmark holidays.
We're trying to get rid of stuff; we don't need new stuff to get rid of. We GAVE gifts, however; we are not scrooges! :-)
-
I got an MP3 player, FINALLY! It's a walkman, and I can use it when I work out. "Woot!" One more excuse knocked out of the park.
-
I gave hubby a backpacking cooking stove and lots of dehydrated meals. He gave me this thing u pour your olive oil into and it sprays it. :bs:
-
Had time with family and friends starting Friday and continuing through today. Putting on a little get together for more family, including my grandkids, in a few weeks.
We don't need anything, but really enjoy playing together.
-
It holds cupcakes in a tree like stand. It's really cool. Especially if you hate having to pack cupcakes away in a lame rubbermaid-type of container. :)
-
I got a really warm Packer themed throw blanket along with a pillow to match. I also got $$$ which I am in dire need of, but I think the best present was from my kid brother. A Gillete Fusion Pro Glide set. I swear gentlemen, it's like the razor is making love to your face.
I'll never shave with anything else. :yahoo:

Trying to tell him something, Gina? :whistling:  :-*

In my stocking, I got some candy and an Angry Birds keychain.
For actual presents:
1. 2 DVDs: 'Captain America: The First Avenger,' and a rare 2- disc DVD of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2' that's only available in Wal- Mart (It's a DVD, yet it has most if not all of the special features that the Blu- Ray version of it has).
2. Pajamas (It's something of a Christmas tradition for my mom to give my brother and I pajamas among our Christmas presents).
3. Book: 'Mr. Monk on the Couch,' by Lee Goldberg (The latest in his wonderful series of novels based on the TV series 'Monk').
4. Gift card to Gamestop (A few weeks earlier, my best friend had given me a used Xbox 360 as his Christmas gift to me, I got a couple games for it already, and today I'll use the gift card to get 'Batman: Arkham Asylum').
5. Gift card to the local movie theater from my brother (I knew that was what he was getting me, I saw him at the the theater on Christmas Eve when I went there to participate in a blood drive).
6. Some really good cocoa mix.
7. Check from my grandma.

Well after the olive oil sprayer and pretty nice hohoho job, yes I am :fuelfire:

If you mean "Call of Duty," I may get the newest one in that series, "COD: Modern Warfare 3" in a little while when the price drops. I actually got it to give as a Christmas gift to my friend who gave me the Xbox, as kind of a trade- off. Right now, I'm more interested in 'Arkham Asylum.' It's been out for 2 years already and the price probably won't drop much more, I intend on playing it before getting and playing its magnificent new sequel, 'Batman: Arkham City' (Which'll be my #1 request for my birthday in a couple months).

Yeah.
I don't play video game, just hear everyone talking about it. They even have commercials now.

Kindle Fire, home brewed beer from my cousin's boyfriend, snow boots, and my grandmother gave me cash a month ago and told me to do my christmas shopping for gifts from her, so she bought me a watch and my scrubs for nursing school :-)

I'm moving to Nebraska in a couple of weeks
That's a blessing.
You'll miss the mild weather but the people are more decent and civilized.

Time with family and friends was the best, the material stuff was nice but not lavish. It's been a crunch year financially, no insurmountable crisis but not a lot of wiggle room either, with a bunch of college bills for family members coming due and other things, but with a huge get-well package hanging in the balance and coming due in the first quarter of '12. One of those 'Got to go through the ordeal to win the prize' things, and the train is about to pull into Winnerville.

Kindle Fire
Good thing I didn't have to work today. I was up all night playing with mine. :p

Passed out or fell asleep? :cheersmate:
I didn't want anything this year, but my wife got what she wanted,(some of which I will use). A new video camera, a PSP , small food processor, some birthstone jewelry that she picked out, a new mp3/video player.

My husband got me a camping cot. The most thoughtful gift he has ever given me.
This is for me to star gaze at night. I loves him very much. :-)

Lemme guess; you're using the jewelry, right? :fuelfire:

My boss and a couple other people got me Amazon gift certificates. Now I have about $100 to spend on Kindle books. I'm never going to get to sleep at this rate.

Yes, yes I did. :naughty:

Whose?

Wineslob, I did too. :naughty:
I also got a floorlamp, clothes, books, wine.
That thing I bought from Haunted Props was creepy and gross and a huge surprise. S set it up in the bedroom, and asked his daughter to go upstairs and fetch something for him. :lmao: I need to give him new hair, though. Something like Dr. Forrester on MST3K.
