Title: "Maybe I'm just unclear on the concept." (EFerrari)

The DUmp seems amused by the fact that that domain site was picked up by one of their own, but *somebody" reported a link to Gingrich's real site, which stood, and now she's confused:

Another 1-5 decision on this post which linked to Newt's campaign site:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=61326

These were the details of the results:

At Fri Dec 23, 2011, 02:49 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

really...this campaign link works...

REASON FOR ALERT:

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See <a href="http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=aboutus#communitystandards" target="_blank">Community Standards[/url].)

ALERTER'S COMMENTS:

I'm not sure where this falls but why would anyone post a link to a Republican Presidential website?

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Dec 23, 2011, 02:59 PM, and the Jury voted 1-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT and said: Community standards: we don't link to Republican sites, although the poster obviously intended this as a joke.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: DU is a website designed to serve and enhance democratic values, not act as a dissemination platform for Republican campaign ads.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: I think there's just some confusion going on here regarding what was being mentioned in the OP. I don't like seeing a valid link to Newt's site on DU either but I don't think just posting the link is against the rules. Because I believe juries should be open and transparent like the rest of DU3 is supposed to be, I will sign my name. --trotsky
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: I don't see this as promotion, more as a reference. If it was meant to derail the hilarious topic of the thread, it certainly fell flat. Hopefully, alerter chose TOS violation so that MIRT can review, but from a jury perspective, I don't see a problem.

----------------

So, was I wrong that our community standards didn't change with DU3?
Is it now okay to link to Republican sites?
Could someone clear that up a little?

This new DU3 jury thing is the best Hanukkah present a guy could ask for.

Maybe I'm just unclear on the concept.
Poor, stupid Beth could make that comment about any subject under the sun, and for once, she would be right.

Hey DUmmies, notice a difference between here and your cesspool.
We demand a link to prove you asshats really do say and believe the idiocy that you do.
You cowards run from any light of truth that can be presented to you and demand it goes away.
