Have we totally given up on prosecuting Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld et al as war criminals?
As “the world’s avengers against war criminals,” America has gone after (some) of the worst of the worst and made sure they were punished for their despicable acts.

Bin Laden in dead. Ghadaffi is dead. Saddam Hussein is dead. And we have killed off many others whose names we don’t even know.

But what we refuse to do is bring to justice those who are among the worst war criminals in the world. I guess there’s some unspoken policy that there’s no such thing as an “American war criminal.”

Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld and the rest can’t claim to have been “following orders.” They issued the orders to invade Iraq. And they knew that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. And then there's torture and the disappearing of people -- including American citizens. But what the hell. It seems that a president can do whatever he wants to do.

I’d call these things crimes against humanity. What would you call them?

There’s no statute of limitations on murder, on war crimes, or on crimes against humanity.

Perhaps, at some future time, these people will be arrested, tried and sentenced. One can only hope that they spend the rest of their lives dreading that justice will catch up with them.

Nothing makes me happier this Christmas season then the anquish you feel about something that is never going to nor should happen.  :cheersmate:

1. No way. We're still chasing Nazis. Bush, Cheney, Rummy, et al, will never sleep well. n/t

I haven`t noticed that they seem nervous.

3. Pelosi should have impeached him/them at the time, now we won't ever do it

because it will reveal our party's complicity.

Unless some other country gets a hold of them and does it, it won't ever happen.

Bela would have tried if there was a reason too.
She is barely smarter then you clowns.

4. Cheney is a celebrity on fox news and cnn

So no were not going to prosecute his criminal ass for anything. Sadly.

6. You never know. Perhaps Fox "News" can be tried for aiding and abetting a war criminal.

Actually, I wouldn't want to see that happen. As much as Fox sucks, I wouldn't want to see even a "pretend 'news' outlet" called out for war crimes.

The precident it would set would have far too many unintended consequences down the road.

I bet NBC/CBS/ABC/MSNBC/CNN/NY TIMES etc really would be nervous if that were to happen.

Hey DUmmies...

"Pelosi should have impeached him/them at the time, now we won't ever do it"
Pelosi knew that were she to try it,
a) They'd be acquitted almost instantly due to lack of any evidence other than the insane ravings of conspiracy theorists such as the DUmmies.
b) It would be political suicide for her and any Dems that supported her.
"Perhaps Fox "News" can be tried for aiding and abetting a war criminal."
1. Putting a TV station on trial? How the hell would that even work?
2. And here we have "DU post openly demanding that any views that disagree with the DUmmies be immediately silenced" # 3,497,216.

Anything that they think President Bush could be charged with, would also apply to Obama.  I'd hazard to guess that Obama has killed more civilians with his drone attacks than President Bush did.

In the areas being attacked by drones, there are no innocent civilians.

They all needed killing, no matter who happens to be in the White House.

The drones are just making good muzzies out of bad muzzies.

I forgot ... what was Libya's roll in 9/11 again?  What date did Congress authorize us to use US might/technology over there?

I keep forgetting the most basic stuff.  Perhaps a DUmmie would come answer my questions.

Do you suppose he drones on and on about this in real life?  Crashing bore. Anyway, I can't read "Cyrano" anymore without reading "Cryano," as dubbed by Rev.   :lmao: :bawl:

Probably. A big part of the reason why so many DU threads have them whining about what poor relationships they have with their families is because they have allowed their obsession with politics to so thoroughly consume their lives that it causes them to become estranged from their real- life loved ones who do not share their obsession.

5. A few years ago, the Bush family bought about 100,000 acres of land in Paraguay

Some say it had to do with control of water rights for a large region which would make them wealthier than they currently

'Twas the night before the night before Christmas
And all through the asylum
Not a DUmmie was sane
Not even DUmmie whats-his-name?
When all of a sudden there arose such a blather
Even Nadin when she's ired into a frosty lather
Didn't rate such a clatter
When then to my wondering mind did appear
A vision of Bush in dressed in holiday gear
Beside him stood Cheney, then Rove and then Rice
Don Rumsfeld rounded out the ensemble quite nice
They came with a gift for the naughty and nice
And even the DUmmie quite rife with lice.
They defended our freedoms
Protected our homes
They stood the line
in spite of the trolls
And to this very day,
all any DUmmie can say
Is "Arrest them! Arrest them! For not doing it MY WAY!"

0bama is great for removing the troops on Bush's timetable.

Bush is evil for 0bama removing the troops and 70+ dead in 16 car bombs yesterday.

Hey DUmmies, which President actually bothered to put one of those people on trial before they got whacked? I will give you a clue, it is the one who knew the Taliban was our enemy.
