Title: FedEx -GROUND- Service.
Post by: FreeBorn on December 22, 2011, 07:06:52 PM
By now most of us have seen the footage of the FedEx jockey who tossed the computer monitor over the customer's fence the other day, after all it made the national T.V. news. Probably just an isolated incident. Or was it?

Another one surfaced today~

This stuff will make the company look very bad. They should immediatelly fire these people to gain back their reputation.

FedEx responded with a YouTube video of its own. Senior vice president of U.S. operations Matthew Thornton said in the video that FedEx has met with the customer, who has accepted the company’s apology. “This goes directly against all FedEx values,” he said.

Thornton also said that because of employee privacy rules, he cannot disclose what will happen to the deliverer, noting only that he is “not working with customers” at the moment.

Bull shit, this is where the chain of comand breaks down.

FedEX hires temps for the busy seasons and has no supervisor's to controll all the Temps, these Temps are the problem.    Hired for 6-8 weeks at best, what do they care, they have no future with the company or loyalty to it.

Company workers with benefits and a good wage are one thing, they earn their pay.  The Temps could care less as they will be laid off in a few weeks. fired a week early, great the sooner unemployment kicks in.

Best thing to do to get an order in one piece from a polite delivery man is to order things 8 + weeks before the rush season.

FedEx does NOT hire temporary drivers.  There are plenty of permanent employees available to fill those jobs.

The temporary hiring they do is in distribution and shipping, loading and unloading trucks.
