Defying the trend that has recently been reported in the news,

My wife and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary today. We got married on the Winter Solstice because we knew the days would start getting longer and the weather would get warmer. In the meantime, we keep each other warm and happy. Perhaps marriage is not for everyone, but it should be available to everyone who wants it. No loving couple should be denied it.

After which the primitives wiggle-waggle their armpits at each other about gay "marriage."

And then the yenta buttinski butts in:

15. We just celebrated our 13th

But most of it's the primitives sniggle-snaggling about gay "marriage."

By the way, Mineral Man tied the knot late; I thought he'd been hitched a lot longer than this.

Looks like he had a couple of failed attempts prior to this one, Coach.

4. Oh, tolerance and patience are a must for both people in a marriage.

Two failed marriages taught me that very well.

With the exception of about 3 weeks in December of 2002, I have been continuously married for almost 32 years.

23 years to the first one, to which I can only think, THANK GOD SHE LEFT!

And 9 years to the love of my life, to which I can only think, I PRAY TO GOD SHE NEVER LEAVES!!!

My husband and I will be married 25 years this January 3rd. The church was absolutely beautiful as it still had the huge Christmas tree and beautiful flowers from Christmas. The flowers and lights on the Christmas tree were white and it was held at night. The church is a beautiful Lutheran church that has the most gorgeous stained glass windows, wood carvings and stone.  It took my breath away when the doors opened and I stared to walk down the aisle.

We hit double digits last June.  One beautiful and perplexing daughter to show for it.  If I had to do it all over again, I would.
