I've been lurking on your "All Things Edible" forum and have been enjoying reading all the recipes, tips and tidbits.
Before I posted a recipe request, however, I thought I'd be neighborly and pop in and say "Hello" first......
Nice cooking forum you have here!

Hello :)

Hi, Euclid. I'm originally from Ohio (Lima). In the Edible forum, you should be aware that we have deep chasms of controversy, and strongly held belief systems when it comes to:
Chili: Beans or not?
Eggs: How cooked? Whites or anti-whites? Same with yolks.
Onions: Friend or foe?
Beef: Mooing or hockeypuck?
And some others. However, we all have in common a deep, abiding affection for bacon.

That certainly sums it up nicely. :cheersmate:

Hello, former fellow Ohioan!
Love the food controversy - we all get pretty heated when it comes down to how we like our food, don't we, but I do share your deep and abiding affection for bacon! :II:
Thank you for the warm welcome!

And peach cobbler. Never disrespect the peach cobbler.

Hiya, Euclid. Used to live up the street from you some, in Mentor. Worked in Concord Twp/Painesville.

Thank you all for such a nice warm welcome!
I'll be doing much of my hanging out in your most excellent "All Things Edible" forum - it's got to be one of the best food forums I've seen, IMHO.

Not far at all! My teenage son and his friends like to hang out at the Mentor Mall occasionally. We also enjoy going to Mentor-Headlands beach.
How long have you lived in Missouri?

About 4.5 years now. I couldn't take the unbelievable amounts of lake effect snow up in Lake County and bailed out. For those who live for two-stage snow throwers, God love ya because Mother Nature takes a rather icy view of you. :cheersmate:

LOL, hear ya about the snow - we don't get it quite so bad here in Euclid, but hubby works in Geauga County (Chardon) and they just get slammed! And of course, he has to drive through Lake County to get to/from work and always bitches about that, too.
Two-stage snow throwers.......are those the things that in the second stage you throw out your back????
:cheersmate:

No, not quite. The two-stage snow throwers are those that take a double effort in breaking your bank account in getting them fixed.
I worked right at the corner of I-90 and 44, just north of Chardon; and lived just over I-90. I know about the :censored: snow.
