Kittens discarded in cat food bag rescued by dog

Two kittens who were thrown mercilessly into a a bag and then dumped in the middle of the road are now available for adoption from and Iowa rescue group. The bag had been run over by a vehicle, killing some of the kittens and making it difficult to tell exactly how many cats were inside.   But if it weren't for the heroic actions of dog named Reagan, they probably would not have survived.

Who does stuff like that?  Why throw the kittens away and toss the bag in the road?  It's sickening.  It's not that hard to put an ad online or in the paper advertising the kittens 'free to a good home' or something like that.  It also doesn't take much effort to drop the kittens off at an animal shelter.  Sick freaks.

Time to find the person who did that, stuff him in a bag, and throw him on the Interstate for a few hours.

I've found kittens abandoned out in wildlife refuges. I saved 2 of them, Blackie and Smuge. Both are gone now but we took them in and gave them better lives than they would have had. I still have a pic of Blackie on my desk.

People can really be heartless.

I share your bloodlust.

Just look at that dog's face!  Nuff said.

I'm not going to say how many rescues we have now; I don't want to be thought of as that Krazy Kat lady from the Kave.  I'll just say we're doing our share.  One of the latest is a little charmer.  When we caught him he was only 8-10 weeks and living off the land.  All beat up, with a beat up face, filthy like a rat, fleas, awful, just awful.  Now, he's a gorgeous gray and white fluffy thing who eats like a pig and entertains the others with fun & games.  Tony.  A fighter from the wrong side of the tracks with a heart of gold.   :-)
