What did OWS do?
Hmmmm let's recap the news over the past few weeks, shall we:
- DOJ is starting to prosecute Wall Street criminals
- The news is reporting on economic injustice
- Fresh-out-of-college grads are trying their hardest to unionize
- Unions are gaining strength
- Wisconsin's recall efforts are looking really good
- Elizabeth Warren is in the lead in MA
- The Tea Party is dying a sad, lonely death
So, I guess it was all a bunch of smelly hippies and their drum circles, eh?

1. The state of New York is now making damn sure that
Edited on Tue Dec-06-11 06:04 PM by truedelphi
Its state tax code is progressive and not regressive.
Before this alteration, the tax code treated everyone who made 20K a year or more alike. Twenty k, and living on food stamps, and you paid the same amount in state taxes as the millionaires and billionaires.
So the big victory is that OWS made Cuomo raise taxes? Somehow I'm not impressed that they caused a liberal to raise taxes. That would be as hard as me forcing my dog to eat a steak.

Yes, yes -- all you OWSies are just great.. Now -- You need to run candidates !!!!

The candidate with the most up twinkies, I mean twinkles, wins. :rotf:

Wait a minute.
All we ever read was how the OWieS got rigged media coverage and couldn't get their message (whatever that may have been) out to the masses.
Now we're being told it has been a paradigm shattering thunderstorm.

Warren ahead in MA? Only if they sample the coffee house crowd in Cambridge. And even then, just barely--4 percent, which considering that Warren has had political commercials on since nearly the day she announced, and half of Boston can't name anyone in state or national politics that isn't a Democrat or felon (but I repeat myself) this is a shocker?
Ease up, DUmmies. MA might go blue again. But then again, you vote for Democrats like you stick to your abusive husbands. Ya'll are like the beaten spouse on COPS, coming out of the trailer/meth lab, seven months pregnant, beer on your breath, Marlboro hanging from your fingers, eye swollen shut as blood pours out your mouth and your 100 lbs overweight/underweight shirtless and ass-crack exposed "husband" is hauled off for the fourth time this week, after you just dimed him out for your last 10 hits of Oxycontin, and when the cops ask you why you don't leave him and move on, you act half surprised, half righteously indignant as you holler, "BUT HE LOVES ME!!!!"
Now stay the **** outta my state.

From one delusional, insignificant primitive who isn't even going to place very high in the DOTY contest.
And he isn't even very good at being delusional. His delusional looks more like straw grasping.

The tipping point, damn it! The tipping point!

Either there's loopholes or watch the money leave NY. It's one or the other.

16. Not one of those things can be attributed to OWS.
Not a single one of those things dates from after the creation of OWS. It was responsible for none of them.

What did OWS do? I dunno, but this may be my favorite thread in quite some time. Here is a preview:
Thanks Occupy Wall Street For Inspiring the Youth With Your Tired Model of Revolution
Seriously -- my stepson tells me today that he's decided not to get a job and is postponing college so he can:
1) Squat on abandoned properties.
2) Make public art.
3) Get food stamps.
4) Knit more.
This, after spending a week in the Seattle OWS camp.

I laughed so hard I almost coughed up my spleen. Reap what you sow a'holes.

That's a great thread there...I think you may be seeing the awakening of a moonbat! :-)

What did OWS do?
Vandalized countless buildings, even for businesses that supported them.
Inconvenienced/ held up in traffic countless uninvolved civilians just trying to go about their day.
Robbed and attacked countless people, both uninvolved civilians/ store owners (i.e. an elderly woman whom the Occupiers pushed down a flight of stairs for attending an Americans for Prosperity dinner) and even their fellow protestors.
Harassed and terrorized innocent children on their way to school.
Greatly wasted the time and resources of police officers who would have otherwise been stopping other crimes.
Greatly wasted the time of local judges and politicians who I'd imagine had better things to do than cater to the Occupiers' temper tantrums.
Left public parks looking like garbage dumps and smelling like sewers.
Started countless fights.
Greatly supplemented the income of drug dealers who undoubtedly made a fortune selling their crap to the Occupiers.
Helped create nasty outbreaks of head lice, tuberculosis, respiratory illnesses, and countless other contagious diseases which they will then in turn spread to others they come across.
Got countless women and at least one underaged teen raped.
Caused an EMT worker to suffer a broken leg after being attacked by Occupiers.
Got at least four people killed.
(And this actually is a positive contribution) Helped the American public as a whole see just how savage, insane, and generally unfit for any civilized society the far left really is, between the lawlessness and violence of the Occupiers, and the fawning Democrat politicians such as Barack Obama who openly expressed support for them. With any luck, the public will remember this in late October/ early November of 2012.

I thought I had cognitive dissonance when I read Taverner's post, but then I read this:

30. They made conservatives love their government
Seems like they've done a 180, from blaming the government for all that's wrong in the world, to praising it for its cruelty.
The thread itself is the perfect example of a little bubble echo chamber, stocked with wishful thinking self-congratulators.
