The Weeper has dialed back his DUmp posting by about 85-90%, following coach's advice to separate from the moonbats or lose his election
by a monumental landslide. Nevertheless, he just can't stay away, and he can't stop dragging Bellevue politics into the DUmp:

Councilman Houghtaling lost pissed voters (I wonder who might pick them up?) updated with article
It will cost perhaps $30,000 extra in expenses because 4 Republicans voted "NO" to be fiscally conservative. The 2 Dems voted yes and look pretty good according to the town paper. I wonder if somebody will bring that up in a political forum in Bellevue next year before election time?
I'm a Dem running for his seat next year.
I wish the editorial was online.

Something tell me Omaha's Ed Norton has an uphill battle ahead.

4. Marta hates the campaign politics (fund raise, be at certain parties, etc.)
She plans a campaign under the $5,000 limit. I don't.
More on her race next year.

3. Where are the comments about Omaha Steve can't win?
That crowd is very quiet right now.
I'm pretty sure he can't win. Let's take a look at how his ward voted in 2008:
President and Vice President
Vote for 1
McCain/Palin (REP) . . . . . . . . 353 51.91
Obama/Biden (DEM). . . . . . . . . 313 46.03
United States Senator
Vote for 1
Mike Johanns (REP) . . . . . . . . 405 61.83
Scott Kleeb (DEM). . . . . . . . . 222 33.89
Representative in Congress Dist 2
Vote for 1
Lee Terry (REP) . . . . . . . . . 390 59.09
Jim Esch (DEM). . . . . . . . . . 265 40.15
County Commissioner Dist 1
Vote for 1
Rusty Hike (REP) . . . . . . . . . 518 97.00
WRITE-IN. . . . . . . . . . . . 16 3.00
Public Defender
Vote for 1
Thomas P. Strigenz (REP) . . . . . . 498 97.27
WRITE-IN. . . . . . . . . . . . 14 2.73
It appears to me, not being a Bellevue insider, that the Weeper is running in a ward that's about 60% Nebraska Republicans.
Not very fertile ground for his message.

Why should people be bought out, people who chose to buy homes by the river?

Well I'm certain that a few postings by OmahaSteve on Du being sent to the news outlets and to Joe Jordan the local Political news guru in Nebraska should help make it easier to vote out Steve. Pretty sure that Ch'3 and Ch6 and ch7 alone would make it possible. Never mind Ch42 because they don't air anything worth viewing for a Fox network.

Interesting. Coupled with the election returns posted above, should be a smashing success. Or something.
Some DUmbass tried to run for some small thing in my neck of the woods on the Working Families Party (AKA ACORN, Communist) line. I think they got 2 votes. Themselves and their mom, I guess.

My fellow Nebraskan's doing this all wrong, and it would've been better if he'd taken franksolich up on the offer to be his campaign manager.
I'm looking with anticipation for his "platform," to see how it'll play with the voters of Bellevue.
Unless Omaha's Ed Norton promises to cut spending, lower taxes, get rid of cumbersome governmental regulation, honor the military, it's not going to play in Bellevue.

Something tells me that Fat ass hasn't been paying attention to the needs of the city these many years. Bellevue is pro military and as we all know is almost conservative to the core. Anyone that thinks talking about raising taxes and giving handouts to those that don't deserve them is going to win is in for alot of pain at the ballot box. Even if he was to somehow win I'm betting his vote will be canceled out by the other members of the city council pretty easily. Then after awhile there might be a recall on his moronic ass for voting against the wishes of his constituents if he doesn't verbally beat one down first.
