So A Photographer Friend Of Mine In Portland OR Got a ticket tonight

...A photographer I know who lives in Portland OR. met with a local fashion model at the park on the river. They shot a series of images with what she came wearing and then he took out a collapsible fabric dressing room set it up behind a hedge for more privacy and him and the model shot two more series. While the model was changing for the 4th series 2 PPD bike officers came up to him and told him he had to take the structure down NOW...he told them that he has never had an issue before in the 5 years he has done photos around PDX. They repeated to him TAKE IT DOWN NOW...he then said "For crying out loud I am not planning on OCCUPYING the park for a month just another 45 minutes" The one cop grabbed his ticket book out and ask him...do you want a citation or a night in jail. He wisely told them "what ever will get you home on time will be fine" so they wrote him a ticket told him his arraignment date and to tear it down and then they left. He finished up his shoot tore the room down cleaned up the area and called a friend in city hall and was told unofficially they would handle it and was instructed to file a complaint against the officers as they acted out of line they also wrote down the wrong ordinance code on the citation which is cause for automatic dismissal in court.

This guy is in the 99% and a small biz owner with a 4000sq ft studio near the airport. Being involved with the OWS movement and having been someone who has been apart of founding two Occupys in two city's I have lost all respect for the law. I no longer treat them as part of the 99% I treat them as if they are part of problem. I had 2 friends arrested in Olympia WA at an Occupy the Capitol event because of severe budget cuts our Governor is proposing. Most of the arrest are provoked and unlawful,it is the cops strutting a false sense of power.

a 4000 sq ft studio? Does this include living space, or just business space? Even if it's mixed use, it's over three times the size of my house.

I bet that he has sufficient income to pay rent on such a space. I also bet that monthly rent is significantly more than what this DUmmie makes in a month. So, why does this DUmmie care about PPD enforcing the law? Should DUmmie be demanding some of that wealth redistributed to itself?

It's funny how it's the mean old cops fault. We will just overlook the fact that they are most likely a tad over vigilent to enforcing code because of the fact the the OWS idiots wanted to squat for months on end. Given the guys response was on the smart assy side, I'm willing to bet too that he wasn't just a sweet innocent photographer and likely had his own hackles up being one of the '99%'. Let me explain this to you rsmith, police officers have this thing called a JOB...when they throw the defiant, law breaking idiots out on their collective rumps they are enforcing the will of the people via laws enacted over many years. LIkely the clamoring of the general public was louder then that of the moronic drum beats coming from the shit filled streets of the Occupiers. Mayors and other officials in the end are smart to recognize which one of these two pay the city's bills. Still all that aside, this should have been done months ago in the interest of many public concerns including health, safety, and equal protection considering public resources were not doled out equitably when considering one movement versus another. I think the fact that it went on so long is a reflection of how liberal urban areas tend to be.

What was the point of him stating the square footage of his friend's studio?

Remember, this is rsmithnumbers, the worst bouncy author at the DUmp.

The only thing worse than his bouncy writing is his resume writing.

Throw in a conversion and everyone else in the park patting him on the back and you have the gold standard for bouncies.

Well, thanks Shadeaux, for bringing over an RSmith bouncy.  Unfortunately, it's not up to the standards of performance that we have come to expect.  I regret I cannot use this submission at this time.  In addition, due to the lack of entertainment value, omission of key bouncy elements, and lackluster style, I am forced to withdraw my nomination for Golden Bong award to one RSmith.  Sincerely yours, &tc. &tc. &tc.

How does this make any sense?

For those interested in real life crime, check out the crime section at your library or book store.   SURPRISE??

The number of murders committed by Photographers that lured victims to a ---Photo Shoot---just teens and young woman they come across is perhaps in the dozens.---- this is just the reported crimes, a man with very expensive camera equipment stopping young girls in a public park, has a tent set up, ----recipe for disaster.

The RSmith primitive, on top of having the worst resume ever, can't even be bothered to get a cardinal rule of a bouncy right.  It is the cops that come out of the bushes, not the narrator, or their companion.

The DUmpmonkeys must have just realized there's a Golden Bong at stake here. After weeks with hardly a bouncy in sight, we're suddenly getting some effort from the deadbeats. It's not rsmithnumbers's fault that he's an abysmally poor writer. At least he tried.

You know, that is odd, how that happened.

All through autumn, hardly a bouncy to be seen.

And now.....

I thought there had to be clapping and/or high 5s to qualify

RaginMiami (or whatever he is) does a much better mouth off to the police.

This clown is still an amateur.
