A Kentucky church has barred interracial couples after a white member's daughter brought her black fiance to perform a song and worship.
The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church, in Pike County, polled its members and they voted not to allow such couples to join or take part in certain worship activities, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Dean Harville, a longtime member who serves as church secretary and clerk, said his daughter Stella Harville and her fiance Ticha Chikuni went to church in June. She played the piano as he sang a song called "I Surrender." Stella Harville is 24, and Chikuni, a native of Zimbabwe, is 29.
Harville said Melvin Thompson, who had been pastor for many years, told him in August that the pair couldn't sing at the church again.
In November, Thompson proposed the church go on record saying that while all people were welcome to attend services, the church did not condone interracial marriage.

Of course, just like Westboro, a handful of Christians speak for all Christians in the US. (But equally, of course, several thousand Muslims that commit terrorist acts worldwide do NOT speak for all Muslims, even in their own countries.)
::) ::)

Do they realize that Adam and Eve held every trait of every racial group? The first humans were pan-racial.

As shitty as the attitude towards this young couple is, at least all that's happening to them is banning from the church. Youall KNOW exactly what would have happened to them in many of the shitholes in this world the liberals are busy excusing and defending. If this church had been a mosque, and the congregation exhibited the same behavior, you'd've seen tons of DUmmies writing in defense of it, as their "culture" or some such garbage.
Yes, I do know Islam welcomes people of all colors. The young couple would be welcome in the mosque, as long as they sat in separate sections. Maybe Cyrus can correct me if I am mistaken, but the sexes are segregated during worship.
People are people, and these so-called Christians aren't exhibiting much except profound bigotry and of course deserve scorn. However, they don't represent all Christians any more than the suicide bombers represent all Muslims.

Actually Islam is an Arab supremacist religion. Early Arab Muslims oppressed non-Arab minorities (especially Africans).
You should check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqb_9_ifzTo
Quote #5 is probably the most shocking and it was said by one of the greatest historians/scholars of Islam. (ignore quote #11 please, I disagree with it)

If my church even TRIED to tell me who they thought should attend church I would be so out the door. How dare anyone say who can come to hear the word of God!

I liked the music in that clip, Cyrus. Also, where did the quotes come from? Some of them looked like they might have come from the Koran, but many seemed like someone's opinion.
It's doubtful most Jews, Christians, and Muslims realize how many of the religions' roots originate from Zorastrianism, which of course was Persian. I'm wondering, are you perhaps Zorastrian as opposed to Muslim?

The quotes are in the description of the vid.

That's very true, Boudicca! I'm non-religious but I respect Zoroastrianism.

Probably why this one only has about 40 people show up most Sundays.

Sad thing is they are hearing the word of GOD but they are not practicing the word of GOD.

Stupid is as stupid does. I would hate to have to witness so many religious zealots who proclaim that they are working for the Lord when they get to heaven to be judged.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
-
That is just messed up. But I guess I am not really surprised. I have dated women of many different races and got dirty looks from both sides. I guess it is just some kind of screwed up instinct.

We just had someone in court say...
"But he's baptist, how could he have done this?"

Legit question, no?
