Quote
'Mangagement' rings are said to gaining popularity among heterosexual couples who have a forward-thinking outlook on relationships, with equality-minded men happy to make the same public 'pre-commitment' as women.

Well, thoughts?

If you do a Google image search on "mangagement ring" most of them are thick bands.

The ring on that guy's finger looks like a girl's ring.

As for a guy wearing an engagement ring, I have no feelings either way.

I don't think I quite care for the name "Management Ring."  That sets a bad tone.  CC, those rings look pretty cool.

No reason to disagree, Gina. Shit is as shit does, so to speak. I still think it's a wimpy male of the she persuasion.

The ring in the OP looks awfully girly.  As for the idea, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, single men who wear rings generally don't attach any significance to which finger of which hand it might be on, and as long as it's not a plain gold band neither does much of anyone else.  I don't have a problem with it, I just don't see much point in it, either.

Gina, aren't you the same girl who brought us those high heels on those poofs?   :lmao:  Just like that one, this is the fashion industry trying to make a buck.  Seek out a market if it doesn't seek you out first.  I dunno, I'm a traditionalist, I don't think I'd ever be in the market for this.  I don't care for jewelry on men.

Oh, FFS. "Mangagement" rings?   :mental:

That just looks plain flat silly. Sorta reminiscent of this idiot. (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,67032.0.html) Only difference is less metal.

Many mafia members wear gold rings, silver rings are not very manly in my opinion.

Is the guy in your picture a male model? He has nice eyes.

Yeah its a girl's ring being marketed towards men. Doomed to fail.
Just like the man-purse: the murse, No normal guy, wants to look like he's gay.
There was an article somewhere here on CC about the man-purse and man-heels.

and its not just the men. I don't know a whole lot of women who want their menfolk to look and dress just like gals.

the whole unisex fashion thing only worked in Maoist China where it took the point of a sword to force the people to wear unisex military fatigues.

For lurking liberals: Men and women are built different and like to look different. To a conservative, this is not news, but to idiots on the left we have to state the obvious from time to time...

One more expense for the guy. Meh. I seem to recall that this started in the late 90's or early 00's. I guess it still has not really caught on all that much. Men are just not that much into jewelry. Unless you are a rapper or in the Italian mob.
