Lions' Ndamukong Suh draws two-game suspension for stomp

These aren't the statistics Ndamukong Suh was looking to compile in his second season - nine personal foul penalties, $42,500 in fines, $165,000 in lost salary and, as the NFL decreed Tuesday morning, a two-game suspension.

"NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks notified Ndamukong Suh today that he has been suspended without pay for the Lions' next two games for his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Lions-Packers game on Thanksgiving Day," read a statement from the league. "It was Suh's fifth violation of on-field rules in the past two seasons that has resulted in league discipline."

I have no problem with it. I've seen him stomp people twice, seen him rip helmets off player's heads twice, seen him throwing people to the ground after the play was over numerous times, etc., etc., etc. He's a thug that is trying to take someone out of the game permanently. Reciprocate. Throw his sorry ass out of the NFL for life.

A two game suspension without pay will cost him several hundred thousand dollars. This may straighten him up but I doubt it. He is a dirty player. Next time, ban his ass.

I thought I saw an article about poor little Suh and his having had a "bad week." Apparently he had a traffic accident the other day.

In a 1970 Chevrolet Coupe. Who wants to be it looked similar to this?

Close enough.  And to a Chevelle, no less.

Lost control of his car while maneuvering around a freakin' PARKED taxi? AYFKM? Stomped on the gas a little too hard and took out a curb, a light pole, a drinking fountain and a tree?

Ya think the cops cited him for stupidity? Gotta be a crime somewhere in being stupid...... :loser:

Enough is enough. Boot him now - for life. You can take the thug off the street, but you can't take the street out of the thug.

You forget, gents that this is the same league that welcomed felon and dog killer Michael Vick back to the game with open arms.  This is the same league who turned a blind eye to a large number of Dallas Cowboys showing up for games on Sunday on Work Release in the late '90s and turn of the century.

Of course they'll turn a blind eye to this thug: he's a peer for the other thugs in Detroit to look up to, and more importantly PUT BUTTS IN SEATS at Lions games.

I'm the biggest Vick hater there is, but he's paid his penance. He shouldn't be punished for life and I can pretty much guarantee you he won't do that shit again.

I have no need to punish Vick, and that's certainly not why I bring him up here.  Vick's got his own dog albatross hanging from his neck whether he wants it, deserves it, or not, and just because he CHOSE to step back into the NFL limelight, it'll probably be there - for at least a segment of the fanbase - until his dying day.

Nope; my only point here is that the only time the NFL will come down hard on thuggishness is when it's directed in defiance of THEM.  The owners don't like their property getting uppity, ya see...
