Poll question: If a full-scale Left revolution started in this country today, would you join it, or resist it?
Pretty self-explanatory, really.
If you'd join it, you've come to the conclusion that change is impossible under the system we currently have in place.
If you'd resist it, you still think, despite all evidence to the contrary, that "reform" is a meaningful concept.

Apparently they're not all as insane as they like to pretend. A violent Leftist revolution would be roughly as successful as the Beer-Hall Putsch, but without the beast being able to regenerate afterward (Ideally, through a shortage of surviving participants).

Most of the people on DU are comfortable middle class people who just like to let their socialist freak flag fly on line. They know a actual full blown socialist revolution would mean the end of a pretty good life for them selves. In fact if all the people there who claim to be hard core socialist really meant any of the crap they spout they would have emigrated to Cuba years ago.
Socialism is just like a three way. It looks like fun in the movies but kind of gross and disappointing in real life.

Even a non-violent leftist revolution would end up with shooting.
1) a Leftist cannot tolerate dissent. They must have a bloody purge.
2) the Left cannot tolerate Christians or Jews. They will start a bloody purge.
3) The Left will start the much vaunted class war, and institute a bloody purge.
4) muslims will jump at the opportunity to start their own bloody purge.
5) Ayers mentor to the president and mentor to the revolutionaries, will advise for a bloody purge.
The bottom line is the radical left has at last revealed itself. Just read DU for a day. they hope and pray for a bloody purge. They will turn in their own family members to die. The left today is not defined by tolerance, but by hate.
Believe me. Privately owned guns in this country will ensure they will be bloody resistance to a leftist revolution.
"Don't tread on me" is not a slogan, it's a warning.
I'm trying to be clear for the lurkers. They will be resistance. And we don't play any reindeer games.
We do not need to resist now because there is no revolution happening. We can and will defeat you at the ballot box. But pull a revolution on us, and just watch.
