Well I most share as an op. re OWS.
I have noticed a very familiar pattern from the people who are naysayers. I might add naysayers have been around every step of Te way in us history starting in colonial times. But now I am seeing lines harden, and a few awfully familiar uses of language.

" If you disturb people while shopping you will not gain any allies." This was almost word for word to the arguments against strikes oh back in the day, strikes led to unions too.

"You are adding work to wage slaves." Familiar to my ear, replace wage slaves with workers

In a sense it tells my ears OWS is having a real effect and the usual suspects are pulling put the propaganda...and whether you watch tv or not, this is endemic.

But heart be still, it usually takes longer.

How she can get "colonial" right, but miss on words such as "Most, "The," And "U.S.A" totally wrong are beyond my scope of knowledge. I think "the script" has been getting a little messy for quite some time now. Either that, or she's like Peter Pan in that she has forgotten what it is like to be in Neverland...

I didn't give any thought to ows until late Sunday after I watched the Raiders beat the Bears. I spent the whole weekend w/family and watching football and touring a local brewery and seeing a bad movie.

I don't think I've seen arrogance and stupidity melded together in such an exquisite way since...well...since the last time she posted.

She's trying to compare OWS with a union. Firstly, in a union you are an employee and the main people you disturb are the business owners themselves. Also, as an employee, you have "skin in the game" so to speak, and strikes focus on the owner's property, so customers and the general public are minimally affected and so are going to sympathize more with the strikers' plight. They used to, anyway, before unions became so greedy.

Secondly, the striker usually doesn't do something that "adds work" to themselves. They pick the time, place and circumstances of their strike to maximize the effect on their employer. OWS, on the other hand, comes in uninvited, ****s things up for low-level employees like they did with their little Wal-Mart dog-and-ponytail show, and expects a pat on the back for "standing up for the little guy". Even though they affected the corporation not one whit, and yes, caused a bunch more work for the very people they claim to represent.

They're stupid, specious, self-important and deluded. What a great social movement, standing around with signs, committing random acts of meaningless disruption against all the wrong people, then congratulating themselves afterward on their genius.

Nadin is the perfect spokesperson for them.

How does Nada have all this free time? Kindred spirit with the parasite OWemeS? Just mooching of the Husband. I really feel for the people that support these leeches. I don't know they could stand it.
