You know, that just really pisses me off, when the primitives don't do what Skins tells them to do.
Now, we here of course don't much care for Skins's rule about not mentioning conservativecave on Skins's island, especially since it cuts us off from dialogue with the primitives. We can talk to the primitives, but the primitives can't talk back to us.
So no, we don't like that rule at all.
However.
Skins's island is my fellow alum's real-estate, his personal property, and as decent and civilized people respect the sanctity of one's own property, we respect that that's Skins's rule, like it or not. It's his property, he has the right to make the rules for it.
Now, because of the old school tie--Skins and I were both taught by professors from Yale, he in New Haven and franksolich in Lincoln--I've always been concerned for my fellow alum; been concerned that he be treated with all the dignity and respect he deserves.
Well, he gets that from everybody but the primitives on his own real-estate.
When the primitives run roughshod over Skins's rules, I see that as a lack of respect for my fellow alum.
The primitives have no respect for Skins.
And this pisses me off more.
I know mine is a minority opinion here, but I've always seen my fellow alum as sort of a genial, smiling, gentle St. Bartholomew who by Divine Inspiration and the goodness and generosity of his heart has provided the primitives an asylum, where the primitives can romp and play with abandon.
Skins has taken in the rejects of the human race, the miscreants, the deviates, the malcontents, the monsters, the cretins, the uglies, the misfits, the nuts, and given them a haven.
No one else on the internet wants the primitives on their real-estate; only my fellow alum.
So he's given the primitives Skins's island, but instead of kissing his ass, the primitives kick it, usually by disobeying his quite reasonable and easy-to-understand rules.
Talk about sheer brazen ingratitude.

Let us not forget Frank that behind the scenes, Skins is the ultimate capitalist.......he fleeces his miscreants to pay the bills, and pockets all those nice checks from the DLC to keep them from polluting the Democrat Party with their nonsense. His membership is to stupid to realize this.
All in all, he makes a good living, what he does pays well........
I'd draw this analogy.......I suspect that we would have NO DIFFICULTY raising enough money right here on this board to purchase 1000 acres of otherwise worthless land somewhere in the Mojave and simply giving it to the DUmmies, OWS, etal for them to occupy......
They can pitch their tents and march around with protest signs.....
Move in their trailers.......
Build hovels......
Do all the illegal drugs they wish........
Rape each other.......
Steal each others food and belongings......
Construct large repositories of human feces......
All with the explicit understanding that they remain within the boundaries set forth by decent and civilized people for so long as they are alive. When they are no longer alive, a few thousand dollars of bulldozer work would return the land to its pristine condition, whereupon it could be donated as a nature preserve, leaving a better world behind this experiment. Skins Island in the real world.

The thing that irritates me about Skimmer is that nearly every dime he fleeces from the DUmpmonkeys originated in the honest earnings of decent and civilized people, i.e., us.
After being confiscated from us, these dollars were doled out to the DUmbasses, where they briefly paused before being forwarded to Skimmer.
I guess you could argue that it's better our taxes end up in Skimmer's pocket than with the DUmmies' drug dealers, but I'm not so sure.
If the DUmbasses had more disposable income to spend on illegal substances, there would surely be an increase in overdose fatalities.
There's no downside to that.

Well, when one thinks about it, Skinner is pretty benevolent. A kind, caring person looking out for the decent, and civilized people around the country. My eyes have been opened a little wider. I see Skins in a better light now. Skinner, you truly are an honorable man. Much abliged. (I just hope you can kep ahold of all those leashes. Some of those animals are quite fierce.

Well, as you've known for a very long time, sir, I tend to have a, uh, rather Pollyanna-ish way of looking at people, and no doubt I see my fellow alum Skins through the same rose-tinted glasses.
I like to think my fellow alum cares about his charges, but realistically--taking off the rose-tinted glasses--I wonder.
It is possible he holds them in the same contempt the primitives hold him.
But, if that's the case, one can hardly blame him. The primitives were contemptuous of him first.
