MYTH #1: The congressional Super Committee failed because both sides refuse to compromise. ........................

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2372722

Actually that point is correct, the democrats refused to compromise so it failed.
Anyone with any intelligence knows the whole sooper committee was just a dog and pony show intended to fail so, 0bama and the dems could try to blame the GOP.

Here's the other talking points,

MYTH #2: Nobody knows what Occupy Wall Street is about.

True we do know what it is all about, free shit!

MYTH #3: Occupiers should stop protesting and just get a job.

They should.

MYTH #4: Occupy Wall Street is intent on provoking violence, especially against banks and the police.

Yeah the eat the rich signs are just jokes.  :whatever:

MYTH #5: The biggest crisis facing our country is out of control government spending.

You have to be an idiot to think that out of control spending is good for our country.

1. This sums up the problem. As usual, it's the Repugnicans.

I can't stand those who say they 'can't agree.' Bullshit they can't agree. The Repukes are doing the bidding of the 1%. Repukes are the reason there is an OWS.

2. Good Idea

Because after all, it's not Thanksgiving without a big political argument at the dinner table. How about 'Top 5 Ways To Give It A Rest and See If We Can't All Get Along For Two Hours.'

K&R.

Repugnicans
If you used this made-up word in public, outside of DU, everyone within earshot would look at you like you had three heads.

Silly person.

Yo, range dog.
Compromise is supposed to be a benefit to all.
You idiots want to kill the goose, and we don't.
It's fine time conservatives refuse to try half-killing that goose.
Think of it as being pregnant.
Either you is, or you isn't.
Naturally, we know what you would do in that regards, don't we?
Maybe it's time you compromise our way.

I heard these yesterday on Rush, and I thought it was funny as hell!   :lmao:

5 "myths" told by Fox News.  How about the 24 hour a day of lies told by CNNCnoBSNBCABCMSNBC?

I'd LOVE for one of my dinner guest to try that at my table.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving if someone tried that, I would smile and say, "I see you use moveon.org for your talking points" pass the turkey.  :-)

Just a little FYI, here are MoveOver.org's sources:

1.  Washington Post
2.  Ezra Klein
3.  Talking Points Memo
4.  National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare
5.  Michael Moore
6.  CNN
7.  Wikipedia (and probably the most credible one on the list)
8.  The Guardian
9.  NPR
10. ABC News
11. Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
12. The Huffington Post

All very credible sources, aren't they.    :lmao:

I am now and have felt the loss of the Thanksgivings for years from my youth.

Huge fights that took place at the Adult table and we kids watched from the separate children's table.

What next from family that only came to visit once a year and for some reason thought if Kennedy got in the WH the Pope would control our country.   No one trusted Nixon, but he was not a Catholic born into a Rum Running family.

Ah the good old days, the woman said not one word, it was the red faced uncles, fathers and grand fathers that caused a ruckus.   Thank heaven the football game came on after dinner, only thing they agreed on.

Everything was home made back then, no store bought relish or pickally, breads and rolls made at home.
The china and the good flat ware seldom used came out, a prayer before the meal to thank God for his bounty, and then the arguments came on.

Fun as I learned more history in that that one day then I did all year in school.

Today all so politically correct all the politeness, everyone just munching down on dinner, way too quiet.

Give me the good old days when us kids wondered if Grandpa was going to smack his brothers head with a drum stick.   No booze until after the dinner, then just a little for the men watching the Game on TV.
