Just back from the pharmacy.
I was there to pick up medicine for my (homebound) mother. The cashier asked the customer in front of me for her insurance info, she said she had none, the cashier said ok, then your total is $140.00. The woman froze up for a few seconds, then said never mind and walked away.

2. Ridiculous. Costs big pharma a few pennies most likely.
Rx prices in this country are insane.
Yep just like it only costs like a dollar for one potato, so potato chips should only cost a dollar. :mental:

7. On a side note, check prices at multiple chains before giving up!

I found that a $180.00 prescription at Target costs me $28.00 at Costco. Which is ridiculous because my first response upon hearing the $180.00 number was it wasn't worth the money.
My wife had a similar situation with a different prescription. So despite my initial gut response which was depressing as hell. I checked the other chain and was astonished that the same generic medication could cost so much less.
This might be something to check into even if you can afford to get robbed by these crooks!
Yeah how dare they expect people to hand over money for drugs, they should be free. :mental:
If one can't afford medications there are ways to get that medication, you can ask your doctor if there is a cheaper medicine that does the same thing, you can ask the doctor if they have any samples, there are all kinds of prescription discount clubs that one can join, you can shop around and see if another pharmacy offers cheaper drugs, and most evil drug companies have programs that help folks who can't afford them they mention that in the commercials.

How are drug companies suppose to recoup R&D Dzummies?

They're not, I would imagine. The primitives would be just fine if drug research was nationalized.

They AREN'T, BEG.
Corporations that make a profit are EVIL!
Drugs should be free or cheap to everyybody that needs them, regardless of costs!

I swear to God my 12 year old has more critical thinking skills than the DUmmies.

And without a prescription.
But moonbat liability suits should be unrestrained in any way.

If the DUmmy would've been standing back behind the yellow line where he belonged, he wouldn't have been able to hear the conversation.

Next time go to Walmart. $10 for 90 days worth of drugs if it is a generic version.

You just hit the nail on the head. More likely than not the Costco version was generic. Then again, another unintended consequence of Obumblecare--not getting reimbursed for your $10 OTC meds? Get a $100 prescription that's the same damned strength and effectiveness and make "da gub'mint" pay for it!

Then the "woman" who walked away is an idiot. I've asked the pharmacist to just give me what I can afford at that time. I've never had one say NO.

This is business economics to DUmmies:

Oh come'on BEG. Profits are beside the point. R&D is just a cost of business. I'm sure they can suck it up. :fuelfire:

Sure yo can get generics but these are very precious DUchebags and they can't be expected to take anything but the top of the line pharmaceuticals......and get them for free.

Forget the costs of R&D, they need to stockpile money to offset future lawsuits for FDA approved drugs. How many lawyer commercials are there about suing drug makers for drugs that were once okayed by the government?
