Ah yes, as OWS continue to grow

And silly season approaches, I expect some of the divisions to grow into deep chasms. Let's try to keep it civil. And no, OWS at times will not align with democrats. That's just the way it s. (For the record they don't align with republicans or any other party...individuals might but none of us has the authority to talk fr the movement)

What OWS wants though is a direct challenge to the system. So that will be part f the dynamic.

Nothing but tripe posted for no reason but to do it yet still might be an interesting kickoff for a night of the drunken Ms Abbot.

By what standard do you consider OWS to be "growing"? I just see a hand full of people spread out thinly over the country in a few major cities and the same old tired lefties and college kids posting the same old tired leftie and college kid drivel on the net from their homes. After all these months the only people who have "joined" in person have been the hard core homeless and criminals as others get sick of sitting in the cold with no pay off of any kind and quietly head home.

I am sorry but OSW has not caught fire with the public and will not even be worthy of a Trivial Pursuit question in ten years.

Uh, in a year.

I give it to shortly after the November elections, if not before.

I think Valentine's Day will be a long time.  Damned cold in February.   :brrr:

That sounds about right. Especially if the muslim is reelected.

In that case, the commies behind this business can say "mission accomplished".

Oh, no--I WANT OWS to "grow".  Like a brick of moldy cheese.  Yeah, a lot of people are going to forget about it until about September/October of next year, when they peel back the foil, take one look, and go, "Ewwwww."

And they'll remember in November.

Yes, that could get interesting.

I'm reminded of an exchange in NYC.  Bleating plaintively, an OWSie harrassed a guy passing by.  "WHY WON'T YOU JOIN US?"  He snarls back, "are you gonna feed my family?"

The OWSies imagine that they literally speak for 99% of the population.  (Some DUmmies really believe this).  It doesn't occur to them that they do not in fact have these people's own interests at heart, such as feeding a family and doing Christmas.

They will end up pissing off a lot of people.

In that case, the commies behind this business can say "mission accomplished".

Reelected is a nightmare word and if he is, time to pull out a map of Panama to find a place to retire to.

We cannot live here on retirement or SS, as it is our 401k savings have tanked.  We the upper low class making $40,00 a year each, and find a wage earner can no longer work due to health, accidents,  now have to scramble to live on one salary.

When we bought our home we did so with the idea that life can bring some unexpected things. We bought on the idea that if one of us was disabled the others income could pay bank, utilities and taxes.   1994 when we had a nice 401k each and we made the mistake of not  for seeing or imagining the rise in  cost of living into the future.

17 years later, who could imagine the cost of heating oil, electricity, home repairs, Co pays for medical problems even with great insurance.

Friend of mine bought a condo 15 years ago, the cost to the homeowners Ass. was at $ 90.00 PM. Today it is over $400.00 PM and the shoddy construction of the condos is causing everything to fall apart. They both lost over $35,000 each in their 401K PLAN, and have only 10 years ahead of them to make it up so they can retire,

Second jobs are out of the question as they work 10 hours a day now and when overtime comes in the extra taxes come to working 8 hours for $9.00 per hour.  Both have worked all of 25-35 years of their lives at this one Company.

Reelected is perhaps the one word I place with the words of Famine, Disease, Pestilences and Death.

We all ready have soup lines for people that have worked more then half their lives, and lost years of saving to bad investments from their banks or 401K.  These are the hard workers that saved and invested in a future they believed in.----Like working for a Union for 35 years and the week before they retire find out the retirement funds for the Union are missing. Will they live long enough to actually collect from the Union????

It is not the dead beats I worry about, I worry about the over 50 crowd that find taxes have doubled on home and land.   Even working 3 jobs will not come near the salary they once made.

Reelect a leader that is taking down the middle class or upper low class so as to make them dependent on the government.  When do we again start selling apples or pencils on street corners, will there come a time when only the children of the rich get to go to college and they are ordered  into the subject they must study for.????

No problem with scholarships one thinks ,  Yesterday 13 people were arrested for taking college entrance exams for money for the dummy's.  Wonderful, the smart kids got passed over for idiots that appeared to be geniuses.

Perhaps I should grab a tent and head for NY to protest Obama in the OWS movement.

Seeing that almost all of them have video cameras by their entrances/exits, there should be some good beatdown footage!
