One of the local radio guys played this on his show Friday, but I can't find it on YouTube. You have to hear it to believe it.
Poll shows ignorance about Occupy Wall Street
A new USA Today/Gallup poll shows the majority of Americans are stubbornly ignorant about political events shaping their future. The survey shows nearly 60 percent don’t know enough about the Occupy Wall Street movement to have an opinion, despite the extensive media coverage it has received. More than half — 56 percent — say they do not consider themselves either supporters or opponents of the Occupy demonstrations. Either the occupiers are very good at obfuscating their political agenda, or people are trying hard not to hear it – because it’s all over the news – and the agenda is this – they want more of your stuff. Do more than half of you really not have an opinion about whether to support a band of lazy slobs demanding that everybody have the same amount of stuff regardless of whether they work for it or not? As one of their spokespeople said (we played this for you Friday) “we deserve our fair share, we deserve equality in everything, we deserve to get paid as much as they get paid, we deserve everything.†That’s their platform. You don’t have an opinion on that?

Unreal.

I suppose we could give them their "fair share" from the 200 lb pile of shit.

It's all about X-Box, Wii, taking the kids to hockey practice, picking up and dropping off the kids from school, driving the 1-hour commute each way to work, cooking dinner (Hamburger Helper), and laundry on Sunday morning.
Who's got time to pay attention to some shit that doesn't affect me?

What it really means is that most Americans think they're irrelevant morons who will amount to nothing (Or already have), and therefore not worth the time to talk to an annoying pollster about.

"we deserve everything.â€

You deserve what you've worked for, what you contribute to the betterment of society.
So far, you deserve a few well placed headshots with a Tonya Tapper.

I heard someone else refer to it as a "wooden haircut".

I'll buy the irrelevant part to some level, but the level of participation in the political process has decreased steadily over the years to the point that most Americans don't even vote in the general election any more, much less the primaries.
I sure as hell don't want to talk to pollsters, but I'll vote.
I'm not so sure that sentiment is shared across the board.

It came from ABC Radio News... Ralph sent me an MP3 of it. I'll have to upload it to YouTube when I get home.

H5! My brother and I used to do that scene all the time . . . One would start, "I want a hamburger, I want a hot dog . . . " and the other would go, "You'll get nothing and like it!" Maybe I should put that line out there at the Thanksgiving table . . . :fuelfire:
