1. Here's your God, Haggis...
WHOSE GOD?
When the boatmen stole the Africans
Did your God ride or row?
When they roped them and they shackled them
Was He with them in the hold?
Was the ocean moon so beautiful
That it brought Him to his knees?
What did your God see?
When she prayed out loud in Cherokee
Was that your God by the fire?
When she swayed up there in the sweetgum tree
Was he hanging up there beside her?
Did He bless the silver rivers?
Did He fix himself a drink?
What did your God see?
If I sing Hallelujah, will He hold my hand?
Can we dance among the blessed and the damned?
When the Glory Train is movin' on to Beulah Land
Can I ride as far as Andilar and come on back to town?
Did your God ride the bullet
To the old Lorraine Motel?
Is it the blood of the lamb, or is it another man down?
Did He catch him as he fell?
Did He calm the waters?
Did His heart just freeze?
What did your God see?
Did your God ride the backroads
On a Texas summer night?
Did He stand there in the pine grove
As they drug him out of sight?
Did He stand for the last communion?
Did he kneel to wash his feet?
What did your God see?
If I sing Hallelujah, will He hold my hand?
Can we dance among the blessed and the damned?
When the Glory Train is movin' on to Beulah Land
Can I ride as far as Andilar and come on back to town?

I really like the weak rhymes
Authentic outrage, palpable tension, and human confusion
Nice work if you can get it
Considering all the people he knows...he must know every musician that ever lived (at least those that began their career after he got back from Vietnam and his service with the Marines of Seal Team 3...or was that the Army, I can never keep it straight)...maybe he really ghost wrote all these songs everyone claims were written by others. I mean we all know how frickin' humble the man is...the inspiration of the song and it's contribution to society is much more important than recognition...fame...fortune. That's why he lives simply, posts at DU, has a part-time job selling Hallmark cards to little old ladies, and spends half his life drunk. The drugs are just for inspiration.

Hi Tom,
My name is Susan, I manage Eric Taylor and Blue Ruby Music & Records.
The song you're calling "Whose God" and claiming to have written is, in actual fact, a song written by my artist Eric Taylor. The real title is "Your God" and is on his Scuffletown CD, released in 2001. We own the copyright and all publishing rights to "Your God" and Scuffletown.
You must own the Scuffletown CD, since we have the lyrics printed in the CD booklet. For those of you on this forum who'd like to hear a 1-minute MP3 of the song, please go to our Blue Ruby Music web site - www.bluerubymusic.com - and go to the "Listen" page. "Your God" is track #8 on the Scuffletown CD.
Tom, I realize that "Your God" is a great song. For legal, ethical, moral, business and personal reasons, I urge you to cease from plagiarizing and attempting to take credit for Eric Taylor's copywritten and legally protected work.
Sincerely,
Susan

27. So Tom...are you Eric Taylor?
Or a plagiarist?
You have to be the Author because I find it difficult to believe anyone would post lyrics to a recorded and published song, claiming to be the author, when the truth is so readily available.
Cool! We have a recorded musician in our midst!
Or, we have a plagiarist.
He always does when he's caught in a lie and instead of apologizing or admitting, he lies low and waits for the one chance to pounce again with another lie. It can be equated to DUmmie logic. When they're proved to be wrong, instead of admitting it, they lie low, keep their mouths shut, and wait for the NEXT illogical subject to jump on. How many times have the DUmmies been proven wrong and said nothing once it was proven?
TominTib is just living up to their low expectations.

The only thing they would prefer over running is to be in front of the pack.
Those horses will actually become depressed if they see other horses running and are unable to do so themselves.

Hey, wait a minute...PitViper (a.k.a. BuzzClik/TrouserSnake) vehementantly denied that TiT's actual last name was "Wright". What gives???
Whatever you do, don't Google "Tom Wright". According to Google, Tom is an Anglican Bishop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright), an architect (http://www.tomwrightdesign.com/), a preeminent rock photographer (http://www.tomwrightphotography.com/) from the 60's, a rare toy collector (http://www.twscollectibles.com/), and a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/profile/Tom%20Wright). He's also a black man (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0942875/).

One would think that after the number of times our people have caught him in a lie and have forward information to the police, the military and to copyright holders that he would stop. I guess some shitbags can't help themselves. It doesn't make it right but then again if he were to have a run in with either the lawyers for the RIAA or the military I wouldn't excatly cry tears for him.

Isn't the first time he's been proven to be a liar. Shows their character, eh?

Yes I did last night.
Good job. Is it just me or does it seem that every time TiT is shown to be a liar his DUmmie fan club shrinks by a member or two?
Something tells me this won't just fade away quietly. TiT may get what's coming to him. Hopefully. From your lips to the RIAA's ear.

Depends on the subject. The DUmmies seem to disregard his past lies when he is stoking a fire they particularly like.

Hey mama, when you leave
Don't leave a thing behind
I don't want nothin'
I can't use nothin'
Take care into the hall
And if you see my friends
Tell them I'm fine
Not using nothin'
Almost burned out my eyes
Threw my ears down to the floor
I didn't see nothin'
I didn't hear nothin'
I stood there like a block of stone
Knowin' all I had to know
And nothin' more
Man, that's nothin'
As brothers our troubles are
Locked in each others arms
And you better pray
They never find you
Your back ain't strong enough
For burdens doublefold
They'd crush you down
Down into nothin'
Being born is going blind
And buying down a thousand times
To echoes strung
On pure temptation
Sorrow and solitude
These are the precious things
And the only words
That are worth rememberin'
Yeah, Townes. See you on the other side.

that you suffer chronic pain.
I was in constant agony for years due to injuries to my right shoulder.
Then I had this little neurological event some months ago and lost the use of my right arm and that damned pain.
But I have been working really hard on it and now have most of the function of my hand and arm. I am even able to play guitar again.
The pain has not returned, but I am now pretty much a hopeless alcoholic from decades of numbing myself to sleep every night.
I will send some relief vibes for your pain, 'mom.

Anyway, over at the DUmmie farm, it appears that TiT is lying low and has not yet been awarded the granite headdress, if he ever will be. I can't even pick up on any subterranean vibrations about it, except that our current thread here has enjoyed astronomical viewership numbers. It does make me wonder, though. IF this jerk is an active donor, do you think that will influence Skin's decision?

So, you've been smoking weed every day for 45 years, which would make the start year 1963. But, but, but, I thought you were some kind of Navy SEAL supertrooper in Vietnam?

I can, to this day, barely handle pennies.
Copper smells like blood, you know.

At the Fillmore in San Francisco.

It's an article of faith with creative fiction writers striving for that 'air of authenticity', but in my RL experience I have never thought so.

Do you know he was waving his little rubber weenie over there earlier today from behind the safety of Skin's apron strings? The usual, hey pencil dicks, how's your mama stuff that only a intellectual type like TiT can really pull off, you know? Unfortunately, I can't post a link right now with the hamster being sick and all.
So my mama's just fine, TiT, she's out with yo Mama right now learning the ropes at being a $2 ho, but she's got a few diseases to pick up first.
Yes, it's totally true that you're worshipped and adored in the conservative community, especially for your honesty, integrity and absolute sober rectitude in all things.
Train wreck.

10. Man, that "Search" thing never, ever works for me.

I cannot even find my own damned posts.
So I have to Google myself or go to "The Site That Must Remain Nameless".
Those pencil-dicks just worship me.
Hey!, boyz, how's yo' mama?
Your friend,
Tom
Someone has to keep up with all of your lies, you piece of shit.It would be cool to have a sticky thread documenting all his bullshit stories, with the link for each one :-)

Face it folks, he's a pathological specimen.
Hi XXXX & XXXXXX XX,
My name is Susan, I manage Eric Taylor and Blue Ruby Music & Records.
Thanks for letting us know about this. Someone else from the forum just
e-mailed us about it as well. A bit unnerving to see someone blatantly try
to claim credit for Eric's song...and to claim to BE Eric as well. Crazy!
I just posted a reply to Tom on Democratic Underground to set him (and the
record) straight.
Ironic that Eric is actually touring in California this week. I'll let him
know about Tom and his attempt at plagiarizing "Your God." Eric has some
radio interviews scheduled this week, and who knows, there might just be a
mention of someone in Tiburon.
Thanks again, I really appreciate you alerting us to this.
All best,
Susan

Has anyone seen this posted over there?
But it is saved here?
But it is saved here?
Most of the deleted DU sub-thread with the warning letter is upthread here in several chunks. (A similar, contemporary DU thread was locked with only a limp slap on the wrist to TiT, and remains in its entirety on DU.)
The short answer: Yes, the important parts of the "gotcha" are IMMORTALIZED here in this very CC thread.

We had three threads on CU..it was unstickied a while back. If and when the database comes up, I'll make sure to send you everything we have, if it has survived the crash.
I want this SOB nailed.

TiT probably sucks alot of things he shouldn't.
UPDATE: Almost ready to post the bare bones, preliminary view of TiT's lies (there are so many of them)...am trying as much as possible to provide documentation, links, contradictions, whatever that "prove" the lie. Sorry...I'm not just thorough...I'm anal.
Cindie
I bet that he has it saved somewhere besides CU.

31. Again, not picking nits...
I just don't want us DU'ers to be the next "morans".
The Freepers are watching us, and we don't want to give them any more "hollow-point" ammo than they already have stashed in their pick-ups.
Can't believe that this post is getting more action than all of the political stuff that I have posted, but c'est la vie.
Sent a card to Cindy today.
Also - just a little anecdote...met a soldier in a bank in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. He had returned from Iraq the day before and was trying to deposit his paycheck with his military ID that had all kinds of history on him with a trick chip that probably detailed his birthmarks. Very fine young man. He was wearing a T-shirt that said on the back "Who's Your Baghdaddy?" and said the same thing on the front in Arabic. He got it in the PX in Iraq.
Brought it all home - and then some...
Okay, anyone know who really wrote this one:

Aw man, ruined my perfect record. I thought everyone loved me. :-)

I don't think there's an active poster here with no bitch-slaps. Not even Mr and Mrs Moral Clarity, I.e., Delilahmused and Frank Solich. :-)
Has anyone ever used the Way Back Machine? Would CU be archived there? I've never used it so maybe it doesn't do message boards. Right now I'm sifting through DU using google advanced search (there's only about 25,000 more to go. Anyway, this one struck me as funny:

The military has had mandatory direct deposit of paychecks since 1993.

This one is also Mark Germino-titled "Black Angel Cure" from his Rank & File Album c.1998
It has and is being pursued. He will never learn. He tells the lies, gets busted, tells the same lies, gets busted, blames it on ex-(insert rare nationality) girlfriend for using his account, lies, gets busted, runs away, gets busted, police talk to him, gets busted, lies, lies, and gets busted. He is a grade A pathological liar.
